Yep I would have to agree with you I'm only saying that I'm not ready to throw him under the bus at this moment doesn't mean I won't change my mind or that he could do better I'm not sure what the situation is with him and Marinelli I know Marinelli his head and over more control or has he? This whole team is just so dysfunctional that isn't even funny anymore but you have good points thereCB, that's my concern with Richard from the get go. You and I could have coached that secondary with 3 out of 4 All Pro's and a damned good front 7 but when the team begins to dissipate, does the most D minded HC in the NFL keep Richard to help teach and coach the new players?
What I think is that Carroll saw a more talent dependent coach than he would need moving forward.
And here's the real problem. Since when has this brain trust put a good coaching staff together? Any coach they would hire would be suspect to me. That's probably wrong and not fair to Richard, but history tells me these morons don't know great coaching or even want it. Can't have a strong coach upstaging the star of the show.
All I am assaying is the jury hasn't even left the court room on him yet. Let's see how he handles really good offenses.
He is overrated. Not Impressed. So that probably makes him our next Head Coach.....I haven't gotten this from the beginning. Some act as if the Cowboys had really scored in hiring a D coach that wasn't wanted by his old team that was going through a secondary rebuild and that team has a D coach as the HC. Think he might know D coaches? Ever ask yourself why he didn't want to keep him?
So now, I see some think they have the next DC on board. Would that be the same one that's calling the D and gave up 28 at home to the 30th ranked O in the league?
Doesn't it make you think about it that SEA didn't want to keep him? Before we consider that part of the team puzzle solved, let's see how his D performs against the really good offenses left on the schedule.
Don't consider stats without considering opposition first. Check those stats at the end of 16 instead of the halfway point.
And before anyone excuses him because of injuries, that's when the real coaches step up and if you paid attention when he was in SEA, when he lost one of those pbers for a game, they didn't hold up well.
Easy to coach the D backfield when you have exceptional talent and a great DLine rotation.I haven't gotten this from the beginning. I kind of viewed it more than the D quit. The D gave the offence plenty of chances to build a 21 point lead and just squandered it with poor play calling and QB play. Maybe that's what needs to happen, is for the players to give up. Personally, the D play calling looked more like an RM called the game. This D is still nowhere near complete, still, need a DT and 2 safeties on D and likely more.
Wait till after these next 4 weeks are over. We’re playing real offenses now.
Was told we were good at DT. I had been preaching we needed a hoss in there, but was told between Collins, Irving who both can't stay on the field and this other guy that was picked up off the streets that we were set.
We need a guy like Snacks that just got traded to Detroit...
It was a really really bad game for the defense but it hasnt been a bad season for them. Please consider the offense just rolled over for them in the second half; but the defense was truly bad last night.
