Definitely a LT. He has been very good so far. Dominant at times. The one bad game was vs Donald. That will happen. He has been getting penalty calls but that was his MO coming ou Of college. I think he cleans that up in time. Think about it…rookie LT replacing Smith. Not easy. He has done really well.

He's definitely struggling in pass pro. But if the team is committed to him being the long term LT, you have to leave him out there to take his lumps.

Remember Andrew Thomas's rookie season? He struggled against quick speed rushers too, but he looks much better this year. Give Tyler some time and let's see what he does. One thing we do know is he is plenty strong enough to play in the NFL.

Big Tyler now tied for 2nd in the league in most
penalties and 7th for most sacks allowed.

He's better than probably half the LTs in the league right now. I'd leave him be and let him develop.

Tyron has spoiled us for the last 10 years. Mortal LTs allow 2-3 pressures a game.

If they dont look like Johnathan Ogden day 1 then we need a replacement

Tyler shouldve been in the hall of fame by now

Possibly true, but Hutchinson is the real deal. He's a lot to handle.

The ball needs to come out quicker, too.

He really is....and for a Rookie he shows signs of dominance in some games

It’s his rookie season, and not sure he was drafted to play G, but he’s bottom 10 in sacks allowed and penalties.

This shouldn’t be a surprise. His scouting report literally screamed OG. He’s filled in admirably, and I think he can be a potential pro bowl G, but we really need Tyron back and need to draft an OT.
He has 3 games with zero penalties.

He is definitely a LT in my opinion, he is a rookie so you have to expect some going pains in the process.

And Hutch got by him like his feet were in cement a couple times. Wish someone would ask the kid which he prefers.
Who currently on the roster, or available to fill the position would you prefer?

He struggles against elite DEs.

But who doesn’t.

He hasn’t faced an elite DE yet…might not all year due to our schedule.

Biggest challenges will likely be GB, MN and JAX later in the year.
