You guys are cool with the win and so am I but sooner or later this defense will fold. I hope I am wrong because I love this team. Defenses win championships and ours is not very good. I thought it was because of BP's scheme but I was wrong it is the players.

I have learned that disastrous has many meanings. New England being unbeaten is disastrous for us. Us being 12-1 is disatrous for us. Winning games by less than 40 points is disastrous for us. Gutting out wins when most teams would lose is disastrous for us. Having Spears, Julius, Roy, or Henry in the lineup is disastrous for us.

what matters is that in every BIG game this year Dallas has risen to the challenge and they lost only to the best team in football at the time...the team has a lot of moxie and it showed yesterday...after a horrible start they came good at the end...and a little more steel is forged in the fire...

Whenever i'm prone to "negative" temptations i think about the first half of the Green Bay game...a game played with frightening defensive intensity...i know that these guys have it in them...but it's hard not to letdown after a HUGE conference win over a hyped opponent.

Just my take...i'll leave you to yours.

There really aren't any. That doesn't mean ours can't play better. We are making the same fundamental mistakes over and over. It's on the players IMOP. You can't count on the offense for ever.

The more I ponder this defensive performance, the more I'm reminded of Dallas' 1993 game against Atlanta. The Cowboys simply could not stop Bobby Hebert and Eric Pegram.

The success of Dallas' defense in the 1990s was predicated entirely on the offense and its ability to build a lead and dominate time of possession.

Maybe Dallas' current defense is similar.

After all, this team needn't concentrate on ways to improve, right? Only a troll would ruminate about vulnerabilities, right? As long as you win, the sins and screwups of the defense magically fade from memory. Neat trick, huh? All is not lost (duh), but don't let the homers gaslight you into thinking "all is well," either.

you know your stretching it a bit.

We all know a performance like yesterday was not the prototypical defensive day. However what team has that defense everyone is looking for. i dont see anyone in the nfc with that kind of D. the closest to it is seattle and if you look close at seattle you will see they have played 3 teams with winning records. they have played a bunch of spares all year and made a living off of it.

the only good teams they have played all year are pittsburgh, tampa and cleveland....how did they do in those.

We are just going to have to hope the defense can keep other teams from making the big play and of course hope ware and ellis never have another game like that again.

I dont think there is anything to panic about, now if we lose to philly and give up 28 or 30 to carolina, the you know what will hit the fan, but right now it is just an off day.
