What I was trying to convey (hope I didn't misunderstand your post) that people are quick to say that Jerry makes the decisions/goes over Garrett's head when it comes to what happens on the football field. That Garrett is a figure head. They make these conclusions based on what Jerry says in public and what follows on the football field.

My point is organizations have meetings and decide what they are going to do and say. No one NEVER IMAGINES they've made these decisions collectively and just giving the media what has already been discussed and agreed upon.

Okay. Thanks for the explanation. I don't necessarily disagree with you, but when Jerry comes out first and says it as opposed to the coach, it makes it look as if he's calling the shots.

And that's the way Jerry likes it. I can recall Jimmy saying that Jerry wanted to "pretend" on camera that he was making draft day moves. Jerry's all about image and appearance. Then again, it's his team.
