Straw Poll: Right now...Do you want Romo?

I just don't see how that is a given fact. There is no evidence to support that. In fact I've seen QBs play worse than Bledsoe did today and any QB is capable of a bad day.
Ok. Let's say that he is worse than Bledsoe. Let's say that it is possible he coughs up 5+ turnovers and misses a game saving receiver that is wide open in the endzone and we lose the game. At that point, what have we lost? We KNOW that Bledsoe would have done just that.

He could be better or he could be worse.

I honestly don't know.

However I will say I learned my lesson of using the "he can't be worse" rational when we went with Hambrick and Wiley as our starters.

I mean they could not be any worse than an aging broke down emmitt smith or a terrible ekuban.

If the boys are ever gonna make the change, this is the week. Let Romo get his feet wet against Houston. I've supported Bledsoe in the pst, but you just can't hold the ball that long against that blitz.

Just curious, Hostile. Exactly what, if anything, could Romo do to make you think he had "proved" his right to play? Anything ? Or is that just a handy rhetorical excuse?

He doesn't need to prove his right to play. Bledsoe proved he deserves to be benched.

It's Houston. Their defense is on par with many 2nd team groups that Romo has been facing in preseason. He'd be hardpressed to screw it up.

Geez. Why don't you cut out the personal attacks? You still haven't given a single reason that Bledsoe should keep the starting job. I'm still waiting for it. You've been asked several times. You can't do it because you're simply going off your agenda.
LOL

You've not shown me anything other than your opinion that Romo is better. My apologies for not bowing to your opinions.

I like Romo better than I do Bledsoe, (he's not a retread) but I want to win and I think Bledsoe is the better option for that. My agenda is Cowboys winning. Period.

Here's some logic for you.

Premise:
1. Romo could not be worse than Bledsoe (though he could potentially be better).
2. Bledsoe can't get us to the playoffs.

Conclusion:
Start Romo.

1. Romo can most definitely be worse than Bledsoe, because he has yet to throw a single NFL pass.
2. Bledsoe has taken other teams to the playoffs and the SB. There's no reason why he can't do the same here. He hasn't shown any worse for wear at his age or shown any dropoff in his arm strength. As far as his running ability...he scored on a 10 yard TD run today!

Conclusion:
Start Bledsoe

You heard it hear first... the announcement will come Tuesday

Perfect game to get Romo's feet wet and give him the confidence to step up and dominate v. the Giants...

He beats the Giants on 10/23 and will remain the starter the rest of the year.

This is not the end of the world, and this loss may be a blessing in disguise if we get a quarterback in there who can win games rather than single-handedly lose 4-6 each year.

Romo can take us to the Superbowl... I say he is better than Roethlisberger was and we have better weapons. Who says a young QB can't take a team to the Superbowl?

I dont see how anyone can argue for keeping Bledsoe in there right now...he's just been freaking awful

it doesnt mean I think Romo is the answer, but I know Bledsoe isnt...we need to find out what Romo can do...

face it people, we arnt a super bowl team...going to Romo now isnt compromising the season...we're probably an 8-8 or 9-7 team at best with the way Bledsoe is playing, maybe not even that...I find it hard to believe Romo will have worse results...and if we play Romo and he is horrible then we can 1) go back to Bledsoe and 2) at least know that next yr when we clean house of Parcells and the rest of this terrible coaching staff that we need to somehow get a QB...maybe Romo shows enough and we cna postpone the QB search awhile longer, or best case find out he is the guy

David

The only reason you start Bledsoe over Romo is because he's the veteran QB that isn't supposed to make all those mistakes that a young QB like Romo would make.

Bledsoe went out today and in classic Drew Bledsoe form, made everyone of those "rookie mistakes" that young QB's make.

He did just about everything you teach a young QB NOT to do.

Anyone who believes he gives the Cowboys their best chance to win is nuts. He's going to keep making the same mind numbingly ******** mistakes he's made his entire career.

He MIGHT squeak us into a wild card spot at 9-7 or so, but we'll just get blown out in the first round anyway.

This makes no sense. You simply cannot get worse than the performance today by Bledsoe.
2. Bledsoe has taken other teams to the playoffs and the SB. There's no reason why he can't do the same here. He's hasn't shown any worse for wear at his age or shown any dropoff in his arm strength. As far as his running ability...he scored on a 10 yard TD run today!
That was years ago. Even after he did that with those team he was yanked.

Ahh man I really indeed hope so!!!!!!!!!!!! Even if we lose because this is quite sickening.

#1 is such a lame point...no QB has thrown a pass at some point in their career

#2, quit living in the past and open your eyes...Bledsoe isnt the same player he was...it might be because he's hurt, but he definitely isnt the same player

We "know" Bledsoe is going to do that? Really?

I suppose you can show me where he does that every game, making it a given fact? [/sarcasm off]

BTW, if our defense had harrassed McNabb as well as Philly harrassed Bledsoe today I bet the mobile QB would have cost them the game too.

In other words I give Bledsoe less blame than I give the Eagles defense credit. They were awesome today.

Yes, we can with substantial certainty say that Bledsoe will continue to have games like this in the near future. There's simply no getting around it.
