I dont see how anyone can argue for keeping Bledsoe in there right now...he's just been freaking awful

it doesnt mean I think Romo is the answer, but I know Bledsoe isnt...we need to find out what Romo can do...

face it people, we arnt a super bowl team...going to Romo now isnt compromising the season...we're probably an 8-8 or 9-7 team at best with the way Bledsoe is playing, maybe not even that...I find it hard to believe Romo will have worse results...and if we play Romo and he is horrible then we can 1) go back to Bledsoe and 2) at least know that next yr when we clean house of Parcells and the rest of this terrible coaching staff that we need to somehow get a QB...maybe Romo shows enough and we cna postpone the QB search awhile longer, or best case find out he is the guy

I just don't see how that is a given fact. There is no evidence to support that. In fact I've seen QBs play worse than Bledsoe did today and any QB is capable of a bad day.

Unfortunately Hos, Drews worst days seem to fall on the biggest stages. Any big game that we forsee in the future has a dark shadow over it because we know when Drew is on a big stage, he shrinks like a cold willie.

This in my opinion is more than enough reason to go with the younger cocky kid who just might have the heart to fear failure more than an oncoming rush.

He's a fan, but he's also realistic.

Being a fan doesn't mean you have to homer it up all the time.

This is a 8-8, 9-7 team with Bledsoe at the helm.

All the more reason to start Romo. He has all the tools to be a successful QB.

Except game experience. I want any Romo supporter here to say beyond a reasonable doubt that with Bledsoe at the helm we have a 0% chance of making the playoffs. Because I will say this with 100% certainty with Romo we will not make the playoffs whether its this year or next.

we're 2-2 right now...Parcells is basically .500 since taking over here

please show me where there is reason to believe otherwise

Just curious, Hostile. Exactly what, if anything, could Romo do to make you think he had "proved" his right to play? Anything ? Or is that just a handy rhetorical excuse?
I'll start with forcing the coaching staff to play him ratheer than a knee jerk reaction that he start.

I like Romo better than I do Bledsoe. I've already said that. It isn't about what I like though.

If he earns the job these men will know it. I'll be behind it 100%. I haven't seen him outperform Drew Bledsoe. I wish he would. I'd love it. I would freaking love it. I've wanted him to get his shot for 2 seasons now and either him or Henson the year ebfore that. If you doubt this please look up my disgust at parcells for not playing him unless it's a blowout and then only allowing him to hand off.

I hate that with a purple passion.

1. Romo can most definitely be worse than Bledsoe, because he has yet to throw a single NFL pass.
2. Bledsoe has taken other teams to the playoffs and the SB. There's no reason why he can't do the same here. He hasn't shown any worse for wear at his age or shown any dropoff in his arm strength. As far as his running ability...he scored on a 10 yard TD run today!

Conclusion:
Start Bledsoe

1. So by that you would also say that since Brett Favre had never thrown a pass before coming to GB then he was worse than Don Majkowski? (SP)

2. Well, George Blanda has taken teams to the Playoffs as well, why not dust him off?

Conclusion:
Start Romo.

He could be better or he could be worse.

I honestly don't know.

However I will say I learned my lesson of using the "he can't be worse" rational when we went with Hambrick and Wiley as our starters.

I mean they could not be any worse than an aging broke down emmitt smith or a terrible ekuban.

Thank you!

We have played two real road games (Tennessee doesnt count)

Bledsoe has 50% completion percentage with 6 INTs and 1 TD

I can say, beyond a reasonable doubt, that we wont make the playoffs if Bledsoe is going to play like that on the road week in and week out

It's Houston. Their defense is on par with many 2nd team groups that Romo has been facing in preseason. He'd be hardpressed to screw it up.
I don't disagree with that, but it sends the team the wrong message. IMO.

If we start Romo what are we going to do with that high draft pick, let me guess pick another QB. Too many here are too emontionally attached to single plays, if romo had started today we would have been out of it in the 1st half.

Umm, we were 9-7 last year with Bledsoe at the helm and less talent.

That is not realistic....that is emotion getting the best of someone after a tough loss.

You mean the message that we want to win games and put the best talent on the field rather than starting has-been veterans?

Yes, we can with substantial certainty say that Bledsoe will continue to have games like this in the near future. There's simply no getting around it.
Well, I don't have a fancy clairvoyant turban or tea leaves or a crystal ball, so I can't say this because I don't believe in certainty.

I bow to your omniscience.

As opposed to the message we are sending them now, "We are gonna play Bledsoe even if he continues losing us ballgames"?

I wouldn't mind knowing for sure at QB. Hell, I've been asking for this for 3 years. I don't think our ship is sunk yet. It's too early in the season to give up.

I hear ya Hos. I think lesser teams get blown out in a game like today. I also think that outside of our QB we have a chance to get to the playoffs and possibly win a few games.

My problem is with the QB and with Drew at the helm every Def coordinator inthe league knows how to handle our offense - stack the box and Blitz control therun and put pressure on DB because he is too slow and is shell shocked. Thus even if we get to the playoffs, I expect a very early exit since the talent of the opponent will be more like today's eagles than last weeks Titans.

So we're going to have a high draft pick if we start Romo? The season will bomb? I'd love to take a gaze into your crystal ball.
