Move Hamlin to Strong and slide Henry over to Free. Then start Jenkins at right Corner.

This is just my opinion, and I'm cetainly not the be all.

I don't think Hamlin would be a good stong safety. I watched him play centerfield in the Pro Bowl game, and he was outstanding. I thought it was one of his best games. I just don't think Hamlin is big enough to take on running backs. He didn't look good against the Rams, and he missed some tackles when he tried to go real low and wrap up. I remember one on Jackson. Plus, on the long TD run, Hamlin looked really weak taking on a block. It was a weak effort.

I really like Hamlin in pass coverage. Just think what it was like before he got to Dallas.

It was bombs away.
Exactly right. And Wade has said as much many times. Just because Hamlin hits hard (or used to) doesn't mean he'd be a good SS.

We just have to draft one and hope he works out. I doubt we do much in FA this year, as much money as we've spent.

I'm working on a way to clone him.

While you're messing around with those test tubes, see if you can't get your hands on some Haynesworth, Bailey, Dawkins, J. Allen, and J. Thomas DNA too.

I'd settle for Anthony Munoz, mid 1990's Larry Allen, Mike Webster, John Hannah, and pre-car wreck Erik Williams.

That's....um......a pretty darn good offensive line right there. I'd question whether the other team would even show up.

it is a position we will have to address.

I think I'd stand up and beg for buttermilk if you ever offered up anything new or, at least, mildly interesting.

1. ILB - Has to be high. James is a JAG. Thomas is old. Carpenter is a nancy.
2. More pass rush - This team would be fine at corner with more pressure. This could mean moving Rat to end and getting a load at NT or another dynamic DE.
3. OL - It will be interesting to see what happens with Colombo. If he leaves, I could see Davis sliding over to RT. I'm OK with Kosier (unlike many), but both guards spots could be upgraded in that scenario.
4. Safety - Strong or Free. I'd prefer a good FS and move Hamlin to SS.

I expect Burnett, Tank and Canty to walk after the season. At this point, I'd be surprised if Roy isn't cut. He isn't a game changer and isn't worth the salary. Colombo might walk.

Pretty much dead on IMO. Although I'm waiting to see what Canty's contract demands are before I want him out. Wouldn't mind seeing either him or Colombo stick around.

A new Head Coach??? But seriously, we need another CB (Newman is often hurt, Adam Jones can't be counted upon), We need a better backup QB than Brad Johnson, perhaps someone young and mobile.

We just drafted two good corners this past year. We don't need to draft another one this year. LB, LT, and SS are more important at this point.

since alot of us feel that Roy is going to be gone is their any big time SS or FS next offseason or draft time. I say FS to because Hamlin can play SS or will we try to move Henry over there.

:starspin 4 life

Yup, he's out unless he totally restructures his contract and even that I'm not sure. The change is already covered and covered nicely. Hamlin will move to SS where he is actually more suited and has adequate enough coverage for the position. You nailed it on the head, Henry goes over to FS and a most we'd need is a FS that plays the run extremely solid just in case we want to spell Henry on some running plays. A lot of those types lying around for a ham on rye sandwich, we probably already have it in one of the backups.

Corner will have Newman, don't laugh but Pac if he doesn't crack, Jenkins with a year under his belt along with Scandrick. Maybe another 3-5th steal in the back field as well. Our D line and LB may be of interest on defense. Offensively we will be looking for O-lineman to be flexible solid back ups or to be groomed. Our current back ups couldn't couldn't push a buggy around.
