The Bills have an outstanding and loyal fan base.

The Panthers are an expansion franchise...that expanded to a state that strongly pulled for either the Commanders, Falcons, or Cowboys.
Still, the panthers are often near the top in attendance.
that's very true..Growing up in NC in the 70's it was the dang Commanders every Sunday. That's how I became a Cowboys fan..

Yes they do. Those fans go through hell (climate) to root for their team.

You also use the radio call in shows to see that.

The Sirius NFL Blitz show has Buffalo fans calling in all the time, and not just the same one.

Hi Pat, long time listener, first time caller. Loyal Bills fan here, been following them since the Jim Kelly days. Just wanna ask why can't this team seem to find a QB?

Just because the Eagles fans are cynical and negative does not make them less impactful.

They flood radio stations and social media, especially after losses.

Then, they must live on radio stations and social media. ;)

I don't even think the Patriots deserve #2 ranking. If they ever stop winning, let's see if they can keep that fanbase...I'm guessing they're all bandwagon jumpers. We have them when we're winning too, but we manage to maintain a big fanbase even without the hangers-on.

Dallas is just fortunate we had a head start on the Patriots. They were not considered a big time franchise until they started winning Super Bowls. They are a very recent phenomena and they will be here to stay for a while, at least until Belichick and Brady hang them up. The Cowboys have had a lot of staying power. Most of the teams that rose to prominence in the 1970s, the "big three" (Dallas, Pittsburgh, Oakland) have been able to stay on people's minds the most. The 49ers were a big deal, especially back in the 1990s. Then people bailed quickly once they started losing. Look at Seattle. They will fall off the planet if their record tanks. I think if a franchise has five rings and there is not a lot of change to the brand (same ownership/philosophy), that buys a lot of time.

That's my point, Alex. This seems more like a numbers list than a "fanatic" list. I haven't seen a Chiefs bar, but I also haven't been to KC. Their fanbase is incredibly loyal and supportive from all that I've heard.

And they have the loudest stadium in the States.

They're only loyal when they're winning. And they are generally not very knowledgeable. The stadium can be loud, but I don't think that really says anything about the quality of the fans. They drink and yell...when the team is good.

Pretty limited set of criteria. The amazing thing is the we will always be at or near the top no matter what the record. I guarantee when Brady and the Emperor retire the Pats money funnel will dry up (at least in comparison to what it is now). Boston will return to a baseball and hockey town.

What is the criteria for being the "best" fans....loyalty, civility, mental ability?

I could see philly fans doing well in loyalty but last on the other two.
I could see pats fans doing well on the last two but everyone knows there wasn't even one NE can in Boston before the late 90s and there won't be any after Brady retires.

This list makes no sense. Anyone ever been to a game at Arrowhead before? Excellent fans. Meanwhile we have some of the most bandwagon fans on the face of the earth.

Read the article. Might make more sense then.

You can't deny that when the Cowboys bandwagon fills up, it is pretty formidable.

The reason I am cowboys fan is because when I lived in Missouri in the early 80s the cowboys were on more than either the cardinals and the chiefs.

The Cowboys usually seemed to be the fall back option back then if your local NFC team was terrible.

One fan base that fascinates me is Cleveland.

Bless their hearts. They are like the Black Knights of fandom.

One win season?

Cut all their limbs off, still going to games.
