KC belongs in top 10...
KC belongs in top 10...
Obviously not by the metrics the study used. I honestly can say you don't see people running around with bumper stickers, jerseys, hats etc. with the Chiefs logo on them.
Even when they have had "superstar" players, it is not often they get huge amounts of recognition. Derrick Thomas might be the most recognized one with most fans now. Think about the Chiefs right now. Most casual football fans would have a tough time naming but a couple of players.
In fact, their brand is pretty bland overall. Their fan noise thing and quality of tailgating at Arrowhead is pretty much the most noteworthy thing about them.
But that still does not mean they have the "best fans". At least by the definition used in the study.
It is kind of hard to measure fan bases though. In terms of broad fan base, how else would you study them?I guess that's my point... I don't agree with the way the study was done.
Without a doubt. I guess I have a different opinion of what a fan is.Read the article. Might make more sense then.
You can't deny that when the Cowboys bandwagon fills up, it is pretty formidable.
From the article:
Just because the Eagles fans are cynical and negative does not make them less impactful.
They flood radio stations and social media, especially after losses.
All you have to do is listen to WIP after an Eagles loss, they are there and they are, well, "passionate" is a nice way to put it.
And the title is meant to be simple so people can understand it, but it is completely out of line with the actual content of the study the article is based on.Don't care. Their fans suck.
And the list isn't titled "most impactful" fans it's titled "best fans".
Maybe the chargers and rams. The raiders merchandise gets a lot of secondary advertising through hip hop. You can find raiders gear on people everywhere not just Oakland/LA/I guess now vegasAny list that does not list the Raiders, Rams and Chargers as the last three is bogus. I realize there is more involved here than just the fans, but if the fan base cannot support the team enough to keep them in their city, they should all be ranked dead last just on that fact alone.
Bad study, Bad StudyI hope this guy wasn't paid to do this study
Talk about a load of crap
Without a doubt. I guess I have a different opinion of what a fan is.
The house Hank built. Not louder than Arrowhead.
Best road game I've ever been too. It was unbelievable how the Cowboys fans literally took over that stadium. I've lived near KC my entire life and have never seen or heard of anything like that happening before. I was so hoarse the next day. When Austin caught the game winner, the Chief fans left immediately and literally half the stadium were Cowboy fans screaming like crazy. I was about 20 rows up from Austins catch and could immediately tell he was going to score and started yelling before he made his break for the end zone. Fantasatic day.I went to watch the Cowboys play in KC the time before that. It was Miles Austin's coming out party. There were actually more Cowboy fans there than Chiefs fans. We took over the stadium. The Chiefs even called a timeout because the Cowboy fans were screaming "defense" so loudly.
When the Chief fans get fired up, it's the loudest place in the world. Not louder than Arrowhead.
Absolutely, BD!When the Chief fans get fired up, it's the loudest place in the world.
Woot!!!!There may be some doubt as to which is the worse fan base, but there is no doubt which is the best.
Go Cowboys!
Absolutely, BD!
Cowboys all the WAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Woot!!!!
