The operative word there being "stupid"...

Texas Hold 'Em is a parlor game, not poker...

Poker is exclusively limited to the following games, or I'm not playing:

Five card draw, "guts" to open...

Five card stud, first card down...

Seven card stud...

If pushed, I will accept five card stud, first and last card down, but I don't really like the game... and as soon as you start talkin' wild cards, I start talkin' deal me out...

A poker game is always five players minimum, never more than six...

When you stick to those games, with practice they become games of skill, not games of chance... if you can read your opponents, that's the key to the whole thing...

Testosterone does not factor in, EVER... drinking and drugs do not mix... poker requires a clear head, and a mind for numbers...

If you have both, though, it's pretty hard not to win... the only real suspense is how much...

Yes sir, in a younger day I supplemented my income at a poker table or two... I've always been real good with all kinds of card games...

Stud and draw are like the wing-t in football. They are slow boring Poker games and nobody plays that anymore. Again, the limit determines skill over luck. And even in the higher limits, you better have some luck. I have played every limit there is and absolutely hate anything below a $15-30 game and prefer a 20-40 or no limit game. At least there you have to think about making a call if somebody makes a play on a hand. IN 10-20 and below if the pot warrants a call, $20 to get $300 even for a one outer is a no brainer. No skill involved in those calls. But if somebody bets their stack at you and you don't have the nuts, you have to think about it.
