What is the correlation? You and others are whining about a player that had no cachet on this team. Maybe you can pick him up on your fantasy team.
I already explained myself a few posts prior to yours.

PS: I don't do fantasy sports.

No excuse for this other than incompetence by the FO. I understand he likely would be inactive in game days THIS year. Look ahead a year. Armstrong a free agent, Fowler a free agent, hopefully Sam isn’t suspended or something and who knows how much longer Lawrence is going to play. Such a bad decision.
He cannot play regular DE. He is a backup to Parsons at best due to his size; a standup LB who can’t hold up vs the run. He got some pressures and holding penalties in one game, not much in the others. Let’s see what happens. He may still get cut and signed to our PS. No way we could afford to stash a player on the 53. We needed every spot for guys who can contribute now.

Maybe not the next Taylor, but he could be the undrafted version of Erik Walden.
You do realize he's in the word speculation and guessing projections possibilities this is nonsense to even be talking about it look man we are deep team the man got lost we won't know for two or three years whether he's a big loss or a small loss it doesn't matter give it up I'm not listening let's worry about our 53 man roster and how we're gonna meet the giants game one that's what our focus is now turned to.. Will Greer is on somebody's practice squad this guy is on somebody's practice squad not even picking these guys up and put him on the 53 man roster if they were so enthralled by these guys they would have just put him on the 53 man roster you get it he is another guy like Kamara and other guys that have come through here and look great and can't look great on Hard Knocks and everyone fell in love with them and most of them didn't do squat after they left even if they were mildly successful that is not a loss

there's only two players off the top of my head without thinking about it that we lost as a franchise that was stupid and that was Jimmy Smith number one how we let this guy go and how it affected how we wasted draft picks on receivers down the road once Michael Irvin got hurt that was the biggest loss in this history of the Dallas Cowboys that I can remember..

The other one is that cornerback I believe the chiefs we traded for some offensive lineman and it didn't work out seems like he was a solid player that we lost out on but in the end it didn't hurt our team we recovered and we have corners and we drafted most of them..

Why don't you all list all the players the Cowboys cut on cut down day or released and in the end we ruled the day because of how they could have changed our franchise please list them all...

What are we going to do without the great Land? LOL

Man he really torched all those 3rd stringers in preseason.

I really don't care what people think on this forum, potential defensive ends are like corners. You get as many as you can. It's nearly a certainty we are short players throughout the season.

We shouldn't make too much of this. First he was an undrafted player so it's not like they lost a well-regarded player. It is rare that a waived player becomes a super star. I don't think they will regret this decision this year. Maybe next year or the year after but I still don't think Land will ever be more than a JAG.

But my question is who showed more, Eric Scott or Land? I think Land showed it in games, Scott did not.
Obviously you are new around these parts. But you'll catch on fast I'm sure. Leave Risen a like to grease the wheels.

Lemme guess... You had Bradlee Anae becoming something, too. Right? I mean, based on actual football analysis, of course.
I liked Anae. I wasn't upset when they lost him though.

I was upset about Ridgeway and rightfully so.

I know they were upset about it. They tried to get cute with that move and got there lunch handed to the. by Washington.

They clearly knew they would likely lose Land and were fine with it. Maybe there us something they are concerned with that I am not aware of but he was way better than I saw on college tape. Some of the things I saw him doing....already....tell me he is going to be a good player.

The timing of him being a good player would coincide with guys like Dlaw, Armstrong and Fowler likely not being here.

We will see who is right about this...

Ridgeway's a JAG. Nothing to be upset about. The skins can have him.

We really needed a 220 pound defensive end in a 4-3 defense. With this loss...I'm.Melting.

Cancel the season now!
I agree with you for once. Don't get me wrong. I liked the player. But at some point he's redundant. We need a LB. I'm glad they threw some love at the offense and let them incorporate Luepke.

A jag in a rotation with two great DTs.
Correct. A jag. Playing with two players clearly better than him.

Just because they're good, doesn't mean he is.

Or should we think that Trystan Hill was a good player because he played alongside some good Dline guys here in Dallas?

Ah Hill....the guy who I maintained for years was trash and we lost Ridge to keep that stiff.

I agree. Putting Lewis on PUP was a no brainer decision. Would have opened up a slot and bought some time. Gallimore also??? The only thing I can think is they picked Harper over him. Looks from the outside as a mistake.
Why would you put Lewis on PUP, the guy is practicing and should be ready by week 2. You put him on PUP and he can’t practice for at least 5 more weeks (after game 4). Then he’ll need at least two weeks to get into game shape. So you want one of are best DB’s kept from playing until at least game 6 so we could have kept Land….SMH!

Reading these opinions sometimes is like taking financial advice from the fry guy at McD’s.

SMH again!

These kinds of hyperbolic responses are what makes the forum suck from time to time. First off relax. Second if you read my posts on this I was not too worked up about it. My opinion was colored by some reports I heard that Lewis was weeks away. Those turned out to be inaccurate. So again relax. Third I mentioned Gallimore as another potential cut. So again relax. People are entitled to their opinions here. You must be one of those fussy types that believes they are always right and must endure the rest of humanity. Relax and try not to be such a clown.

I hope Lance does. Truly do, Runny. I simply don't like how Jerry went about it. Same ol' Jerry who Jimmy got tired of. Plus, I'm not excited at all with the lack of performance Lance has displayed this preseason. Would have preferred someone with better execution and understanding of an offense who could truly push Dak in practice.
Sure you do.
