More often than not, he's the reason the Cowboys won. I mean, he was a top-five quarterback.
I'll give him the last 4 or 5 years since Garrett's been coach but there was talent on this team before that. And even though we wouldn't have gotten to those playoff games without him, Tony didn't play great in most of them.

Just reading between the lines. If that's not what you want, then you have no argument and are just yapping just to yap. We're 12-2.

Because we're discussing Dak, not the team's overall record. Anthony Hitchens is also 12-2. That won't stop me from yanking him the moment Jaylon Smith is ready.

He played exceptionally against Philly, Detroit, and Green Bay. He was meh against New York. He was awful against the Vikings.

Agreed. I never blamed him for the 2014 GB loss. It was the only season that he's been QB that I didn't end the season frustrated. I guess I should have though.

That's because Romo falls down at any sign of pressure like a sack of potatoes. Dak is very good at climbing the pocket but doesn't have the awareness that Romo does of where ball needs to go when it gets tight.

What?
If that were true, he wouldn't have the injuries he has.

Agreed. The most untrue thing I've EVER read on this forum.

I guess it's untrue if you haven't watched Romo at all in the last 5 years.

Any time he's had pressure right in his face he falls down. And as I've said before one of the times he got hurt falling down because he got knee'd in the back by a Commander

You're complaining about a 12-2 QB who went nearly 90% passing the other day? hahah, you're funny.

I understand chastising fans. You are a twitter frequenter after all.

I understand offensive penalties and their effect on drives. It is undeniable.

Nonetheless, Daks inability to complete a high percentage of passes in the RZ is a huge limiting factor as well. Dak has only 1 RZ interception and his rating is still mediocre. He doesn't throw a high percentage nor does he score often through the air down there.

We run the ball in or we are unlikely to score.
Red Zone TD%
2014 50 possessions, 33 TD 66.0%
2016 53 possession, 35 TD 66.0%

Very good defenses. But with experience Dak will get faster with his reads. It's pretty amazing what he has done with just one camp and 14 games. Another off season to work on his craft and we should see something amazing
Honestly, I think we're seeing something pretty amazing already. Between him and Zeke, it's astonishing. If another player or two from this draft becomes a starter, it could go down as the best draft of all time.

If we're going to attack with what our strengths demand -- the OL, the running game and the short to intermediate passing attack, then ideally, ball control is the chosen method of operation for our 2016 season.

Perhaps the most necessary requirement for making that attack a success is to minimize our offensive penalties. Such penalties compromise an extended attack, due mainly to the number of plays and physical energy that must be expended.

The coaching staff will accordingly be obliged to see to it that strict discipline against OL penalties must be adhered to more now than ever. Do that successfully and success in the form of victories over our opponents is more than likely to follow. It's our best bet, imho.

Dude...how many times have you watched Romo pirouette and by time on a touchdown strike or key third down...Here...I'll help you out:

That...is a pretty fair assessment.

I don't know about all time but definitely in many years
