why compare it to the playoff game? Why not compare it to Romo's first December game at NY?

comparisons are worth nothing but at least you could compare the same thing.

What's the difference? The point being that those only remembering roses and puppies for Romo games are clueless. I'm one of the guys biggest fans but even I am realistic enough to know his downfalls over the year. We have a rookie who we are 11-2 with. I expected a crap game a long time back and he rarely has faltered. People acting like a change to someone we haven't really seen in 2 years are clueless. We had multiple years where the last game of the season meant playoffs and Romo failed but not sure why your excuses matter when we are 11-2 after our only real egg of the season.

And why not a massive playoff game to show he's failed?

You must be in single digits age wise if you think Romo never played that bad or worse. Buffalo anyone???

buffalo? We won the game on two straight romo drives in the final 2 minutes. A TD and then set up a fg.

yes he turned the ball over but in the end he won, just like dak vs philly in October...he didn't turn the ball over but he was bad throwing the ball until the end of the game. It happens.

The running game had nine runs for 21 yards in the second half.
Thats even worse than I thought.

Were we down by 20 and needed to catchup by throwing? No.

Ridiculous.

Who is remembering roses and puppies its about winning and losing.

Not sure why this is directed at me, I expect no change and have said repeatedly this morning I expect this offense to play really well at home the next two weeks. They play loose and fast at home and they are now going to be told they are not that good all week and be challenged by their coaches. I expect excellent offense in these two home games.

Not nearly as bad as yesterday. Dak was awful. Awful. The stats can say one thing, the eye test says another. That was one of the worst games I have seen a quarterback play. He played SCARED-I have never seen Tony Romo play scared.

I don't care if he threw 5 Ints in that game. He was still light years better than Dak was yesterday.

He threw 5 int buddy lay off the stuff. I guess it's true wins will mask anything. I guess if we win last night nobody would say anything smh

I've seen Romo look worse. Much much worse. I thought we would absolutely win the game after Dez finally caught a pass. Unfortunately he fumbled. That's not on Dak. Neither was the missed FG or the two int's both on Dez.

Please.. the chuck it up was absolutely on Dak..

no your missing the point. At buffalo romo hung in there, the defense gave him the ball with a chance to get back into the game then the special teams gave him a chance to win.

Same thing as Dak vs philly, he played poorly and the defense gave him the ball and He played great on the final two drives, just like Romo at buffalo.

and Yes, if dak led a game winning drive last night and we win like we did in Pittsburgh the narrative would be and it would be true that Dak struggled and hung in there and kept fighting and pulled it out in the end.

Winning does mask and cure everything and always has.

Romo threw for 400 yards and multiple td's at ny in 09 and the defense blew the game.....all that is remembered is the loss.

I have complete faith Dak and the offense will rebound at home and play at a high level the next two weeks. We just played two extremely difficult road games and got out 1-1.

I don't think that second one was. It looked like a good throw and dez just stopped for some reason. The first one dez slipped and that is no ones fault.

Zeke ran for close to 100 yards the first half and had plenty of time.. please don't compare Romo's bad days to this..

He can say all he want about Romo having "bad" december games. The truth is that Romo has never ever looked like Prescott looked last night.

There was not a single time in that second half where I though Prescott would march us down the field. He has played okay (against Washington) and very poorly the last two weeks. If he plays that poorly again, it should absolutely be back to Romo.

How about December 28th, 2008 when the Cowboys had a chance to win the division but were destroyed by Philadelphia 44-6. Romo was 21 for 39 for 183 yards and a pick. QB rating of 55 and this was his 3rd season as a starter.

Disagreeing with you doesn't mean I'm missing the point. He played like crap that game win or not but when you win folks febreeze the situation I see. I'm glad we won that game but it doesn't mean he didn't stink just like Eli last night. My point is Romo has had bad games as others have pointed out.

He threw directly into the middle, right where the safety was. And the CB, Jenkins had inside leverage.. It's absolutely ludicrous to put that in any way on Dez.. and Dez clearly was the final progressionon.. Dak forced to Dez and his underneath route of Dez was actually open and it looks like Dak was supppse to go there but inexplicably didn't go there..

Sorry not directed at you but overall...with fans...I'm
a little disappointed that at 11-2 and a bomb people are acting like we are crap, that Daks done nothing and that we were this unstoppable playoff force in the past decade under Romo so a switch must be made. I think the system has run just as well with Dak. Some teams you just have to gameplsn better and I thought we failed to do that after the 1st quarter

of course he has, everyone does except Tom Brady...

although brady may struggle tonight.

not even sure what the argument was to be honest. Just pointing out what you ask of your qb is to win the game late in the league today and I think both romo and dak have been excellent at that.

You mean the system that got Garrett demoted and was throwing 85% from shotgun and last in the league in play-action? You think Dak would get as good results as Romo in that system? You mean the system where Wade was trying to bring Dan Reeves here because Garrett couldn't field a decent running game?

Everybody go take a look at Romo's last December. He was the best QB in the league. 12 tds 1 int, 74 completion percentage and a 133 qb rating.

One more game like the last two from Dak and I bet we get to find out if Tony is still at that level.

You mean December 2014?

That's two years ago which is EONS AGO in the NFL.
