No you have NEVER seen Romo look MUCH worse than that. Bad games sure but define much.

Cmon man he had a horrible game. We know it, the team knows it and mostly Dak knows it. It won't be his last either - it happens.

Nothing wrong with admitting it and Im pretty sure Dak doesn't want anyone defending it..

He'll bounce back.
Definitely not against the Giants, where Romo is 6-1 with 28 ppg...since 2012. I think the 5 INT game against Buffalo in 2007 is the point but even then Romo threw his way to a win. The guy really had no fear...never has.

On board with most of it but taking shots at Romo over 2008, 11 and 12, when Dallas either couldn't or wouldn't run the frigging ball is low and disingenuous for Sturm. He is pushing a conflation fallacy. Not only that...no one can argue that the current line is light years ahead of what Romo had over the three years mentioned by Sturm...not to mention the putrid defense that blew a 12 point lead with 5 minutes to play vs. the Giants in 2012. Prescott simply blew last night, culminating in a disastrous second half where he lost complete control of the offense. He had enough defense and running game to get it done. I can remember a guy throwing 5 INTs against Buffalo in 2007 and still fighting to a win late in the fourth quarter.

I agree, Bob almost always relays my sentiments, but he should not be throwing out games by Romo that they were clearly outmatched. I believe to this day the OL performance in 2011 in the play in game against the Giants was one of the most pitiful things I've seen as a Cowboys fan. I honestly think that was the last domino that had to fall for us to change our OL philosophy.

I'm stunned..not really...that people are this dense about one bad game. As for Romo why not check almost all his games that meant something late in the season or the Giants playoff game when we were 13-3.

18-36 for 201, 1TD, 1 Int Rating of 64.7

Dak played one of the top Ds last week and we only had him throw 18 times and he was 12-18 for 66.7% 1 TD and we WON!

He's had one completely flustered game. I really think people know zero about football if they expected he or Romo to play 16 perfect games. So far this no pattern. See how he responds to TB

If you wanna compare games you gotta compare supporting cast too, namely five guys in front of the QB.

He has no championship hardware either.

That wasnt Romo, that was a guy who could barely throw the ball because he still had a broken collarbone.

That wasn't Romo? LOL! So what was he doing out there if he had a broken collarbone?

You cannot really compare Romo over time with records vs other teams as the support cast changes as well as their performance. You can use stats as a starting point but you'd have to be at least another QB, QB coach or OC/HC to appreciate the mental aspects of the game.

The latter is what we're talking about primarily although the positive attributes of Dak sometimes eclipse those of Romo....as in running the ball vs the pocket presence and escapability of Romo.

It is the mental aspect of the game married to that cerebral-cerebellar-muscle memory function that makes a QB.

Now one must decide who is best at that. Or rather the coaching staff must decide. Unless of course Dak AND the coaching staff can figure out how to defeat the present recipe of defeating our offense WITH Dak running it.

While I consider myself a huge Romo fan, I have to completely disagree with this statement. Let me take you back to Dec 25, 2006, Romo's first year as a starter. Here is Romo's stat line in a 23 - 7 loss to Philly at home in December:

14 of 29 (48%)
142 yards
1 TD
2 INT
QB rating of 45.5

Here is the link: http://www.nfl.com/player/tonyromo/2505354/gamelogs?season=2006

Below are Dak's stats from last night:

17 of 37 (46%)
165 yards
1 TD
2 INT
QB rating of 45.4

Look pretty similar no? So, lets not overreact to Dak's performance last night which was VERY bad and make silly declarative statements about Romo never looking as bad. Might I also remind you that some veteran QBs (some Super Bowl winners) were also pretty bad this weekend:

Russell Wilson - 5 INTs
Big Ben - 3 INTs
Philip Rivers - 3 INTs
Eli Manning - 1 INT (easily could have been 3 if Church was able to hold onto the balls)

He can say all he want about Romo having "bad" december games. The truth is that Romo has never ever looked like Prescott looked last night.

There was not a single time in that second half where I though Prescott would march us down the field. He has played okay (against Washington) and very poorly the last two weeks. If he plays that poorly again, it should absolutely be back to Romo.
Romo has never looked like Dak did last night haha you haven't watched many Romo games huh. Not putting Romo down by the way he has been a good QB but that's crazy. Romo has had some very terrible games and played just as bad if not worst

Romo has a terrible game against Minnesota as well.....he has had a bunch but Romo is still a good QB. I think people are over reacting to Dak

Well you cant expect to come out of that terrible terrible performance by Dak and have the fanbase be like "oh its cool" when theres a guy on the bench who would have annihilated the giants last night
