Sturm says Dak most valuable pick in NFL history

A former 1st round pick (Brandon Weeden) and a former pro bowler (Matt Cassell) inherited the same things last year....and produced a season worse than the Dave Campo years.

There was no Zeke or Murray which is fundamental to what we do.

I will give Dak credit for going to the outside WR way more than either of these guys mentioned, but Beasley is his top WR. That's what less able QBs have to do to survive.

I think Strum is referring to draft pick position + immediate contribution. Brady didn't do anything his rookie season.

That's how I took it, he meant it at this point 12 games after the draft. Over the long term it may be a different decision, but as of this moment you have to agree with him.

You missed his point. It IS based on only 12 games. Name a rookie who has come in the league and had this type of impact in his first 12 games and then compare draft positions. If Dak isn't the best pick then he's on a short list of who is.

Dak inherited the best offensive line in football, the next Adrian Peterson in the draft, a Hall of Fame tight end, and a terrific group of receivers.

Dak is great value in the 4th round, but he's no Tom Brady, Roger Staubach, or Warren Moon in draft value. He's not even Tony Romo.

And you're basing this on what? I'm not saying he will be better than those guys in the long haul, but so far his rookie season has been better than any of those guys' rookie seasons.

I'd love for us to be able to say that in 10-15 years but it's preposterous to say when you have Brady, 6th round, boasting 4 SB rings and 6 SB appearances.
