I could care less if we beat a team at full strength or not. I only care that we Win. We wont be at full strength. Do you think they'd give a damn about it, if they beat us? Hell no.

I agree 100%. It is what it is, to put it bluntly. Suh foolishly caused this himself and put his team in a vulnerable position at the worst time.

Not sure how exactly the appeal process works but I don't see what evidence Suh can produce in his favor. If this were a first time offender, I could see that. But Suh obviously can't go down that road.

screw that "not at 100%" stuff...just for the record, I don't think Lee, Durant, Mo, et al are coming back for the playoffs, and it is looking like Melton may not play (and Hitchens is dinged)....no one cares about the missing players for Dallas....

Funny how no one made a big deal after Philly beat us last year in essentially a playoff game with our most valuable player injured the week before.

I dont care about Lions having a full strength squad I want Suh
to pay for his actions. I wish he was out of football and the last
thing i want is his sh!t on my team.

That's just what the league needs. Overturn a suspension for a player with a laundry list of infractions and with a past suspension imposed for the very same act!

Goodell may as well hand in his resignation along with any paperwork lifting the suspension!

Michael Smith, I am going to assume he is the same one that works/worked for ESPN. But comparing malicious intent to "late" hits is apples and oranges.

Whether he plays or not, we're going to beat the Lions.

I don't see why he should win it. The NFL needs to make an example of players who choose to try to injure another player on purpose. If they are really concerned about safety then Suh shouldn't win the appeal.

Even if he plays I still think that we can beat the Lions.

Hmmm... It's a harsh penalty for sure. It's the playoffs! A 50,000 dollar fine would mean he is playing the game for free and paying about 28 grand out of pocket on top of that. Is that a strong enough deterrent for a repeat offender? Probably not. So which side is right? How awful was the play? He could have crashed on the leg or even stomped on it. So I do see King's angle here. Prefer he not play so I'm biased.

That's when Martin gets a cramp and you put Mack in for a series first.

Right. You send the scrubs out on a hit, not the A team.

Is Alex Barron available for a one game contract? Who am I kidding, of course he is.

He's not gonna win that appeal. I could have seen them not suspend him, but now it's done. They're not going to let it be another embarrassing situation heading into the playoffs.

I would sure like to agree with you, but listening to the SIRIUS XM NFL channel this morning, they're all saying not only should he win the appeal, he shouldn't have gotten suspended in the first place. They were mostly basing their opinion on the fact that the NFL didn't cite his history of issues as part of the reason for the suspension. The act, just by itself, didn't warrant a suspension, in their opinion and will, therefore be overturned. We'll find out by late this afternoon, apparently.

Yeah, listened to it myself this morning.

But 'Mr. Giants' Bob Papa isn't exactly the most unbiased voice...

His stupidity got me aggravated this morning.

No malicious intent? Seriously? Was that the first or second time he stepped on another player and didn't acknowledge it? Or was it when he failed to acknowledge the fact that the player he stepped on was pushing on the back of his leg?

How many examples do some people need before they'll admit the truth?

As I understand the process, Goodell has nothing to do with on-the-field punishment decisions. The person that will hear the appeal (Ted Cotrell) is one of several jointly selected by the NFL and the NFLPA to decide these appeals. He does not work for Goodell/the NFL. Having said that, I agree that an overturn of the suspension will further hurt the league's reputation in some people's view, but others will applaud the decision.

No, I think you're right. And that's what I was really referring to, the flood of bad press and the next black eye the league would receive if they overturned this.

But I have no idea what 'others' would applaud any decision to overturn. This guy is a proven cheap shot artist and thug and he got exactly what he deserved.

Yes, I know Papa is a Giants backer and his opinion is biased, but they were also saying that others (Piererra and a couple others) didn't think he should have even been suspended. I totally disagree with them, but what I think (or they think, for that matter) doesn't count. Like I said, we'll find out later today.

The others I was referring to are those that hate the Cowboys...which is a pretty sizeable contingent.
