Anyone surprised just doesn't understand how things work. The NFL comes down swift and hard so it looks like they want to clean things up but they leave room for the arbitrator to reduce it. The problem here is the only room they left for the arbitrator was to reduce it to a fine. It should have been a two game suspension so that the arbitrator could reduce it to 1 game.

The conspiracy theories are hilarious. This has nothing to do with sticking it to the Cowboys - it's the process playing itself out. Ed Reed had a suspension for illegal hits overturned in a similar manner in 2012 - prior to a game against the Chargers. Note - this happened to a team not named the Cowboys in the past.

Do I think he should have been suspended? Yes. Do I think the league was screwing the Cowboys here? No. The Cowboys still have to line up and win the game, Suh or no Suh.

NFL Channel just said the 2014 rules say a player's slate is wiped clean if they go 32 games without another infraction. This was Suh's 33rd game, believe it or not, so it was treated as a first-time infraction.

I agree ... He appeals his action; denying intent yet they still fine him because of his action ?? He either did it or not .. If they are saying he did then the punishment that was levied shouldn't be changed or lessened in any way ..
