Surprise cuts around the league

I would like to take a look at Evan Neal I know he played poorly in New York but they have had so many OL busts there it may be a problem with them. I would consider bringing in Dodson the LB from Miami. I think a worst he would be better than our current number 4 ILB. At CB, if the chiefs release Fulton I would jump on him. That leaves TE. Get the best one and let go of Schoon.

4 players away from a pretty solid roster. I believe.

He wasn't on the list @ the time......Another guy I think I would have kept.....over Marquese Bell.

This Bell kid has more lives than a cat. Still don't see the infatuation. Can't cover....Can't tackle. Doesn't play special teams...
Bell is a core special teamer…you’re drunk if you don’t think he does!

And this latest preseason (you know the latest work by these players), he was as bad as Thomas.

The hope is that it's because he's coming back from the neck injury and the hope is that he'll be a better scheme fit here. But we don't know if either of those things will come to pass.
I was talking about this preseason and you are wrong.

Here is the 1st........

#Chargers cutting defensive end Kyle Kennard, a former fourth-round draft pick, per a league source.Next #NFL opportunities ahead of him elsewhere

A stunner: The Chiefs released OT Esa Pole, a source tells The Star.
Hot off the wire from Stephen Jones' office. Cowboys are cutting Jerral W Jones. Tried to work out a trade but nobody was dumb enough to take that trade.

He was not very good and wouldn't even want to see that. Everything I see about Broderick is more encouraging. His foot work is good, his run blocking is excellent but his pass block needs work. He has made the starting line up had 38 starts. There is less things to fix on him then Neal. Akoye said the play they keep ragging on him in preseason was his only bad play all preseason. Plus he isn't coming in to replace a starter he is here to replace Nate Thomas.

That would make perfect common sense. Common sense is not allowed in the Dallas FO, Just wacky Jerry nonsense, LOL
Or you are smarter than Will McClay and know all G.M.s were letting him go through waivers. The Cowboy's got a development guy they wanted at a cheap price.

The tape don't lie. Go watch Akoye.
You can buy what Akoye, a Cowboys fan, is selling or you can see with your own eyes. Jones has been bad since he entered the league. He has excellent movement skills and size but his technique has been terrible, which gets him out of position and makes it easy to get him off-balanced. Coming off injury, he's been even worse this preseason because he's lost weight and strength on top of having poor technique. Whether he'll get back to pre-injury form is unknown. Even if he does, pre-injury form was no better than a backup at best but Pittsburgh started him because he was a first-round pick. Dallas has to hope he gets back closer to Georgia form with different teaching and a different scheme. Thankfully, the Cowboys are not relying on him to start right now, but if he had to play as a backup, the tape shows that he wouldn't be much better (if any) than what we've seen from Thomas.

Or he can just watch the other two preseason games. He is weaker in the pass block but he seems to hesitate at the point of attack. If he could be trained there he will be better.

Put together a reel on Thomas, and it will look kind of similar to this. Doesn't always keep his body squared to the defender, so he gets caught with his feet out of position. Gets his hands scraped off or chopped down instead of punching and maintaining his grip. That allows the defender to rip around him. The biggest difference in him and Thomas is that Jones actually does have the athleticism to play at a higher level. Thomas does not. He has to make up for that with perfect technique. He did not, so now he's gone and we'll try to rehabilitate Jones into the player his athleticism says he should be.

Here's what seems like a fairly objective write-up on him:
