I had Taco Bell But 6 tacos instead of 8

Burritos is Taco Bell for us, Tacos was Jack in the Box, but those days are over for right now.

Wife likes to cook so that is where we are headed. We were probably spending around 50 bucks a month considering the gas involved fast fooding it, we stopped that........for now.

Don’t buy cheap dog food. Do the research. You’re going to kill your dog. Give up something else.

Out of curiouslity what is your take on just feeding them people food, ya know scraps of what we eat like my parents did our dogs as a kid.

Wife just paid all the bills, looking like we can make it (not getting into the savings) if we are trying to make it something we never thought about until now. Hell, I had never looked at the price of gas it just didn't matter.

Debating on dropping....Ensure, that would save around 40ish a month.

Won't be buying anything lucky that we really don't need anything, pretty much set to dig in. My big concern is needing something fixed, that would hurt.

If you feed them taco bell scraps they won't notice the difference between the taco meat and the cheap dog food. The dog food meat most likely has a higher meat content than the taco bell meat. I think taco bell was boasting 70 or 80 percent actual meat in their meat last time I checked

I think it is really good for humans too. It has magnesium among other things, and I think I read 80 percent of the world is deficient in magnisium. I have vitamins with it, but I have never eaten liver

I'm an oddball cause I love liver even cook it on the smoker or grill it and it is cheap

I'm not sure how dogs survived all these generations before there was 50 dollar bags of dog food..those companies must make a fortune off that stuff

I live up here in Canada and gas prices range from 1.60 litre to 2.10 litre (7-9 US dollars, roughly…I did not do the math…)

I don’t go far these days.

I drive a v6 Jeep Cherokee. On the highway if I stay between 80 and 110 kms I get good fuel mileage, above 110 is when my Jeep gets really thirsty…

l am near Windsor, Ontario…housing prices and rent are very expensive. House’s here often sell well over asking price. To rent a 1 bedroom apartment in this area, in a area that you want to live will run you 1400/month plus.

We also have very poor public transportation.

so combined with high gas prices/housing/rising food prices I suspect people are becoming impoverished fairly easily…

My brother in law and sister in law are sinking and barely hanging on. He can not work due to medical, she has a decent job…but commutes 60 minutes round trip, they can not afford to move closer to her work because rent is too expensive…it’s like a cruel joke being played on people.

Actually quite a few people from this area cross into metro Detroit daily...most work in the medical field. I've heard as many as 5000, but it's likely more...many Canadian seniors vacation during the winter in the US...they are affectionately called snowbirds. If I was a younger person I'd get the skills needed to get out of Canada...

I have a friend that is a nurse in Florida, another friend who is retired and relocated to Florida when a job opportunity came available in Florida for his wife. My sister n law spent several years in Brownville, Texas as a nurse...there is no good reason to live in Canada...unless you like 6-10 months of winter depending on where you live...
