The thing that annoys me most about SUVs and the like are the drivers.

Not because of the gas issue, not because of some perceived ego issue.

What annoys me about them is seeing them in a nice SUV but driving like they are afraid a small pot hole, mud hole, bump in the road or other things are going to ruin their precious ride.

You got a darn SUV...Drive it like it is an SUV and not some vehicle you are afraid it is some fragile vehicle.

Same for people in big trucks.

Just irks me to no end.

I remember driving my Hummer Ambulance and the 113 track ambulance in the army and I would put that thing through the ringer. They both were driven up to their abilities.

Now I see some wimp in a nice truck or SUV driving like they are carrying a box of sweating dynamite and afraid the smallest bump will blow them up. Drive that Son of a Gun and quit *****footing around in it.

Hate it when I see those people in the SUV or big trucks driving them like they are a small sports car.

Yeah, but up here we have the flip side of that condition: the clown that thinks an SUV is impervious to ice and drives like a fool in an ice storm. It's not an odd sight to see the crushed remains of an SUV on a flatbed. In fact I had crawl past two that were tires up in the same accident, this past winter.

One difference here though. You didn't pay for that Hummer Ambulance. (I bet the wounded in the back didn't appreciate you slamming into potholes!) That said, I would take the LR3 I had off road, but I was still careful with it. I wasn't going to dog a car I paid quite a bit for. Now, if I owned a Ford Super Duty or something that I bought for work, I would put that thing to work and not worry about the paint job.

I paid for my Monte Carlo SS and I don't drive it like it says chevette.

Makes no difference what you pay for it if you are buying a SPORTS UTILITY vehicle...don't drive it like you are in a freaking clown car. Why pay for all of that power and size if you are going to go no faster than a vespa.

Drive that sucker.

Why have a jacked up pickup truck with huge tires if you are afraid of a pot hole...take the big tires off, jack it back down if you are afraid of a pot hole.

Bunch of guys who think they are tough with the big vehicles but drive like a bunch of 80 year old pansie blue hairs.

Rage on...RAGE ON!!!:laugh2:

I just might have to go out and stomp a mud hole in someone's backside now.

No kidding. They have vehicle built to go off the trail and yet turning into a parking lot seems to be their biggest fear.

That I agree with. If you bought a 4x4 just because, then you should use the damn thing like one.

I bought the LR3 for two reasons. First and foremost, it can snow 18+ inches here and do it several times a year. High clearance and all wheel drive lets be worry less for my wife's safety when she is out and conditions are bad. Second, sometimes we can have 6+ people in our car or may need cart larger cargo.

Those have already become an issue since we purchased a sports sedan just a couple of months ago.

That's pretty much the truth...

I don't pamper mine at all outside of regular maintenance and keeping it clean on the inside. I'll lock that baby in descent mode in heavy traffic and go right down the embankment.

Also love to go across the flooded bridges around here after a lot of rain... although it doesn't seem to rain anymore in Austin... :(

I don't even make that effort in my truck. Just the other day my wife commented "your truck looks like a farmers truck!" and I said yes it does and that is just the way I like it. :D
