Agreed ... for now. I'd like to see Witten work his way up, and wouldn't have minded him being brought in as a quality control assistant, although the head coach talk ended any chance of that being done without it being viewed as Jones grooming Witten for the job.

Witten has done an excellent job as a high school coach. Whether that means he could develop into a quality NFL coach, I don't know. I wouldn't have a problem with finding that out over time.

Who knows? If Dallas hires Choice, maybe Jones will groom him to be the next assistant-to-head-coach in training.

Yea I think someone may have convinced Jerry he can hire Witten but Witten getting respect from the locker room is a different matter.......it's earned.

A lot of fans ripped him for it. He had a big grin on his face as Vick was signing his autograph. It had a bad look after a loss. Choice attempted to do some damage control on Twitter but it didn’t help.

That was one of the dumbest moments from this fanbase I can remember. Just stupid.

Meh, I don't care about it. Vick was a Falcon, and Choice is from Georgia. It made sense.

If fans are still mad about that they need to get a life. It was dumb initially and if they are stilll mad 15 years later about something like that they have issues.

shotty is the one doing the hiring,and selecting, instead of buddies, mostly he is looking for the best guy for the job, as it should be.
I am impressed by that.

I was not impressed initially with the Schottenheimer head coach hire.But the staff that is being put together here is making me feel optimistic about the future of this football team.Looks like Ol Jerry might be finally seeing the light and building this team the right way.If Brian Schottenheimer is putting together this staff , Id have to say I am impressed .
