No way. He is the complete antithesis of the Bill Belichick player - not to mention about 10 years past his prime.

they said the same things about Randy Moss, and what do ya know they set every passing record out there that year

TO has never had the speed that Moss had and has even less now and never was that good at catching the ball. Apples and oranges.

That was 6 seasons ago and Moss was only 30 years old. They said the same thing about Moss last year at age 35 and sure enough he had little to no impact. Owens is 39 years old, hasn't played in two years and was cut in the pre-season by a wide receiver starved team last year. It is hardly the same situation as Moss and the Patriots faced in 2007.

Actually, no they didn't. No one said that about Randy Moss because his problems were off the field and he was never viewed as a bad teammate. He had no more than 1 single minor incident affect his on field play, whereas Terrell Owens has a history of doing everything he can to disrupt a team when he doesn't get his way.

Not to mention he's about 10 years past his prime.

Considering our "wonderful" receiving core (not), excluding the TE's, if there is anything left in his tank, perhaps the Pats will pick him up.

It certainly is worth a look. But at his age, I would say his chances are slim to none to being signed. But I have been wrong before, well, darn too many times to count actually.

I just do not know enough about his condition at his age to even guess.

I do know one thing about Brady, he has to feel comfortable with a WR and will find that person a way to find the ball. If a guy cannot run a route properly, or is not on the same page with Brady, then they are done. Hey buddy, be where you are supposed to be, and I will get you the ball.

So interesting, but doubtful. And Belichick will not tolerate any nonsense from any player -- or they are gone. That is the major reason Moss was let go. Get over yourself already. Simply not tolerated, no matter how good you are.

I think many of us forget how in shape T.O. kept himself. If the Pats can get him for a non-guaranteed money contract, why not give him a shot? The pats have lost Welker, Edelman, and Lloyd. Hernandez, Gronk, and Amendola can never stay healthy for a whole season. I think T.O. would be a nice insurance plan for them. If he can still play, of course.

Honestly, just do not know enough about the guy (TO) to make a judgement.

I do know one thing, we are in serious trouble at the WR position. And have been for years. Fortunately Brady finds a way to get it done with whoever they give him. But that is just Brady, but not really fair to him. What a great time he had with Moss on the team, throw it up there - yippee, and a guy that can actually catch the ball. I think Moss was outstanding, and was so sad to see him leave. Sigh, ok, whatever, get over it already.

Who knows what will happen. TO on a Pat's team. Never thought I would have seen that coming. Most likely will not happen.

You might be young, and that's okay. Brief run down:

T.O. is a HOF caliber wide receiver who only has Jerry Rice ahead of him in numbers put up. The guy always kept himself in amazing shape, and I have no doubt he can still play. His problem is he always became a locker room cancer. He did that with the whiners, Iggles, and later on with the Cowboys, though he behaved for the most part. To his credit, he didn't cause any problems i know of on the Bills or Bengals. Ochocinco asked for him to be on the Bengals, and when the new coach came in they let both of them go. Many Cowboys fans hate him because he defiled the Star, and Teague defended it. Teague will always be a hero. Some could forgive him when he came to us, some couldn't. His last year he put up almost 1000 yards before he got injured on the Bengals. He is always an entertainer, and one of the most dynamic players of all time. I loved him when he was here. If the Pats can sign him to a non-guaranteed money contract, he will be well worth it. He won't be the all-star he used to be, but he can contribute. I also think his being out of work has humbled him, and he won't be the cancer he used to be.

Oh, and he falls into the category of not a true Cowboy. Like Deion Sanders. So sign away Pats! Seriously though, who else is out there to sign? Jabbar Gaffney, Braylon Edwards? Hey, maybe that Lloyd guy you guys just got rid of?

/Good luck T.O.
//Hope you make a team this year
///Seriously don't see any free agent WR's better than him
////Hasn't he been black balled and punished enough?

T.O ran a 4.45 just a season ago. Watching his preseason games with the Seahawks, T.O. can still beat his CB no problem. But he had a VERY BAD case of the dropsies, far worse than usual. This could be attirbuted to not being on the field in two years and normal conditioning could turn that around. Champ Bailey was even quoted as saying T.O. "still has it" as he was one of two defenders T.O. torched in the preseason game last year.

If he and Brady somehow make a connection, I can see this happening. T.O. has been on good behavior since he left Dallas. The only reason he was released from Seattle is because they could only keep him, or Braylon being that neither play ST and Braylon really stepped his game up in those preseason opportunities.

You folks are funny, and thanks for the input.

I just do not see this happening. But still don't know what the heck we are going to do about our WR situation. Oh well, just count on Brady to get it done, no matter who you have. Just get it done.

TO, can you imagine a guy 39 trying to make it back into the league. Sounds rather nuts to me. I just know so little about the guy, and appreciate your thoughts. Maybe he has enough left for one year until we can find a solution to our WR problems.

Cannot wait for the football season to begin again and enjoy the sport I really like. Nothing else does it for me, baseball, basketball, hockey, golf, none of them. To me, just football.

We have some serious problems, as do you, but until the season begins we basically all know nothing. It is a game of inches and trying to field the best team under the cap.

So here is to football. But TO in a Pats uniform, nope, I really, really am not seeing that. Yes, wrong sometimes, just do not see it happening. As usual, just letting Brady getting it done with scrubs, and hoping our young defense starts getting it together.

Your situation, that is a tough one. You would be much better off with a good GM and coach. But we get what we get, and still enjoy our teams. Nothing much else to say.

Here is to football!!!

While it's a longshot I still think the guy could play. He should be a good possession WR period but I guess he never learned that game or wouldn't. He can still get open but not sure I would want him on my team. Maybe he's been to counseling or something.

He just has not been in the lime light. Once he has a platform and a mic in front of him that is when the trouble begins

Yeah. And for everything he says on camera or mic he probably says ten times as much when not.

From what I have seen over the years he is not a bad guy but he can't let controversial issue die. He gets into running battles with the media. He makes a comment they call him out and he goes back and forth with them keeping the fire burning and at times throwing more gasoline on the fire.

He certainly is not the type of player who is going out getting wasted and arrested but he tends to create problems within a locker room and puts negative focus on a team.
