That's your opinion. You know mine. And I am mature enough to leave it at that. BTW, I think you are a great poster, one of my favorite.

I think we do understand each other on this issue. I have no problem with your opinion and I appreciate your words. Thank you. It's all good as far as I am concerned. Keep posting.

This probably belong to another thread, but since OJ was mentioned, the Medical Examiner that discovered CTE that Will Smith plays in the movie Concussion stated the condition factored in his killings (yes, I think he did it.) The past week suggests that practically everyone but the placekicker in the NFL probably has some level of CTE - maybe this was a factor, although I'm not making excuses for OJ. After all, Staubach hasn't beat his wife or attacked anyone...;)

your opinion. And a very flawed opinion.

A big part of a being a football player is how you help your team win. T.O. did as much to tear his teams down as he did to build them up. There may never have been as much of a quarterback assassin as Owens. He did everything he could do to destroy Garcia, McNabb and Romo. And his legacy of destroying those guys lasted well after his departure.

And another part of being a football player is the job you do in enhancing the lives of fans and the community. That is, after all, the whole point of the game.

not flawed at all. how else do u explain LT being in?

I think you are right... this belongs in a different thread.

T.O. is an attention ***** locker room cancer that should never have even gotten this far in the HoF process. Thank god the system worked and he finally got eliminated. I just pray we dodge the same bullet in the coming years. Stats are not all that is taken into consideration. The system worked!!

You're the same guy that wants Dez off the team. Not surprised you have a Patsies fan liking your post.

lmao, yeah a top 3 defensive player of all time in the HOF is a mistake....... on that note I check out of this debate

Hey, that's on you if you think it's okay to have a pedophile in the HoF. It's obvious you've checked out when character doesn't matter and think it's funny.

Not sure what my not liking Dez has to do with this thread but whatever. Thanks for playing.

I did what?

As a good Christian, I forgave him when he asked for redemption. So the answer to your question is, no.

Quit mixing religion and football. Dez and T.O. played good football for us. I don't need them asking for the lords redemption to acknowledge that. Funny is that "You forgave" Irvin once he asked for redemption. If that is the case you should be against all Cowboys besides Landry and Staubach. This is football, not the church.

You asked me if I hate him. I told you why I don't. If you don't what my opinion don't ask for it. I am willing to forgive anyone that earnestly asks for it, including you, Dez or even a once upon a time heathen like Michael Irvin that once stabbed a teammate in the neck with a pair of scissors.

None at all. He's in the hall for what he did in the league. Not for what he did outside of it. This isn't the Human Beings Hall of Fame.

IMO, it's sad that you and so many others don't recognize that character matters. But to each his own. May God bless you.

Well guess what....if you want to throw character into, then 90% of the people that are in the Hall probably wouldn't be in there. You can't pick and chose. I'm not sure how "character" is relevant to a sport that contributes to so many deaths and permanent injuries. Should I question your character for supporting such a barbarian sport?
