T.O. puts the loss on his shoulders, think anyone else is willing to do that?

No question, that was one of the biggest drops T.O. has ever had, but at least he man'd up about it. As for his celebration, I died laughing over it, in the end, it didn't even hurt the team, since the Skins bobbled the kickoff at the 35.

I wish more people would come out and take the blame, instead of blaming others. T.O. was pissed off, you could tell. I know he'll come around. The defense is what worries me. EVERY SINGLE time a ball goes deep, I think it's going to be a catch or a PI. When will that feeling ever go away? :bang2:

Yeah... I still want to believe that as more and more time goes by... that this team will gel and hit their stride when it counts... down the stretch....

While I agree that many players in this league should man up on their mistakes, TO really had no choice but to do so...

It was as poor a drop as has ever been...

Kinda hard for him to deny it cost the team, considering it would have put the game away and the fact millions watched him drop an easy TD. I agree i hated the fact Bledsoe never stepped up and said it was HIS fault, but i hardly give TO a pass because he's a "stand up" guy.

What difference does it make *after* the game.. it's in the books.

Certain guys need to step up *during* the games to keep this from happening in the first place.

You are missing the point here.

People are PO'ed about the celebration, not because it cost us the game, but rather T.O. knew it would cost us yards and he knew Vandy struggles on kickoffs and any penalty yardage would expose that fact even further. Also, lost in all of this is Parcells treating the guy differently even though most of know, Parcells was probably "PO'ed" at the penalty.

I bet there are some players on the squad that just cant stand this guy and how he is treated with kid gloves.

Parcells did say something to TO on the sideline and did not look happy about the 15 yarder.

Sorry, but we don't know that. And the way penalties are being interpreted this year, I'm not sure anyone knows what really is "excessive celebration".

The ball CAN NOT be used as a PROP. What's so hard about that? If he throws the ball to the ref, then lays down he gets away with it. Heck, they let the Packers jump into the stands.

As T.O. returned to the sideline, Parcells barked at him, but the coach didn't get in his face and deliver a profanity-laced tirade like he would to any other player.

"He just told me that we didn't need that at that particular point of the game," T.O. said. "I'm going to try to excite my team and get us going."

They know that using the ball as a prop (TO used it as a pillow) is aginst the rules players know this and coaches have talked to the players about this. I know for a fact Parcells has talked to this team about that from the get go. Easy solution is very simple hand the ball to the ref and move on. Winning games is more important than anything else and Dallas is in no position to be dealing with dumb penalties we get enough as is

And from what I understand, your feet have to be on the ground while celebrating. Troy Aikman mentioned this while he was celebrating.

So why do they get away with the Lambeau leep? Or have they done away with it and i didn't realize it? I still see guys "High 5ing" each other while jumping in the air every week.

prop:

"something used in creating or enhancing a desired effect."

Did the ball create or enhance the desired effect of pretending to be asleep? I don't think it did. If the refs can interpret things anyway they want to, I can do that as well.

I hope you are being sarcastic, ... you must forget Jackie Smith's drop in the EZ, in the Super Bowl.

Heck, Owens' drop in the Giants game was worse.

The one yesterday was not a gimme catch, ... looking over your shoulder never is, .. in football or catching a fly ball over your shoulder in the outfield.

Those are alway difficult catches to make.

It is one that he should catch, I thought he should have caught it because that is what he is paid to do, but I see how he didn't.

The one against the Giants I will never understand. (Or the one Keyshawn dropped against us, .. or Jackie Smiths)

Aikman (may have been Buck) mentioned it. I am going home for lunch, so I will go back and write down exactly what he said. Of course, if someone else has recorded the game, feel free to write down what was said.

Owens should be looking for work this morning. That 15 yd unsportsmanlike conduct penalty was inexcusable. He knew full well he would get flagged, and he didn't care. That's because nothing is more important to TO than TO. That, and yet another game changing drop, should mean the end of his tenure in Dallas.
