I think he's going to throw the ball to a kid in the stands and then go give Rowdy a friendly bear-hug. Aaaahhhh, the kinder-gentler TO. :)

I watch the game for the game unlike you I don't need to see dancing with the stars to get excited. Too bad that your interest is in dancing and not football but then that is you.
Have you ever heard of the word Entertainment.?

Now I do understand that this is cultural, and most stiff americans can't handle the flashy brother dancing around doing what he does in his own culture. In your culture, you do things one way, but don't expect every one to follow you because you think your way is grand. For those who don't like the cultural dancing and celebrating, then move to Utah and watch fishing shows on ESPN..

Yes Football is entertaining, now what does dancing have to do with football? As for your comment on "brothers" I don't recall guys like Emmitt Smith acting like an idiot as far as that goes many black athletes do not act like complete fools, race has nothing to do with this. This is football and some of us actually get excited about a great play not the dance afterwards if that gets you excited seeing a man dance then good for you. Lastly I don't expect anything from anyone but the NFL does have a say so on this. They have managed to put together one of the best sports in America by doing it their way and I fully support their crack down on this matter.

Obviously your opinions are of a minority opinion, because the EA sports is in the business of making money... And on Madden and all of the other football games, they include the dancing and celebrating.

Now you may take the ball to the ref and that's that.. And some blacks (just like me) don't do a ton of celebratory antics after a score, but if someone wants to do something cool, then so be it. It didn't hurt you or your family.

It's cultural. I know, because I'm from this culture. And I hate it when someone tries to degrade the way we do things because they didn't grow up doing it. Now I hate the extra crap with the phones and all that, but if you consider a quick whitty celebration foolish, then that's your opinion and I'm sure you'd be happier watching rodeo bull riding or something where you know there won't be a celebration dance after the long bull ride.. :)

I don't care if players want to celebrate or not, but I couldn't let this one slide.

So essentially what you're saying is...

"It's a black thing, you wouldn't understand."

1st off you don't know me so you don't know what your talking about. 2 celebrations have been going on in the NFL for a long time. Personally I don't care what they do as long as it stays with in the bounds of the rules and does not cost the Cowboys 15 yards because some moron wants to show off. Lastly this is not some black and white issue and it get really old seeing the same old BS race card pulled out for every little thing.

It's a foolish thing. People don't want to come out of their comfort zone and celebrate other ways and other cultures. I see Arab clothing and what not, I don't sit there and say, I don't like that it's a stupid dress they're wearing.

I try to understand that it's not for me, but it's cool because it's their way of doing things..

But I've been in this celebration topic and have argued about this for awhile now. It it makes no sense to dog players for having fun, as long as it doesn't go overboard. And yeah, some things are over board. Running out to the star was overboard, only because it takes too long to complete the celebration.

But he recently ran to the star at the Stadium, and that's not bad.. It's called having fun and putting it in your face. So in the bro world, when I was young, that would make us mad that someone was show boating, then we would come back twice as strong, and before you know it, we are super great at what we do. The competition in the bro world is fierce fierce fierce, let me tell ya..

I'm not trying to make this a black white thing, I'm letting you know that you, and tons of people of your mindset (not race, mind set) think their's something wrong with this. If you want to complain about something, here's something to complain about..

How about the stupid drunk fans in the audience throwing beer, cursing in front of fans, spouting out rude comments to the opposing fans, acting like complete idiots.. I'm sure you've never done this before... But we call the players fools for doing something fun?

I'm giving an opinion and agreeing with the NFL to put a stop to some of the acts that are getting out of hand. As for stupid fans getting drunk and causing problems I want them tossed out of the stadium. Your right I have been to many games both Pros and College and have not gotten drunk or attacked others who are attending the game even those cheering for the other team. Lastly I call the players a fool when they go overboard such as the cell phone incident with Joe Horn or TO running out to the mid-field or Brian Cox giving fans the finger. Myself I watch the game of football for the football not for the side show but evidently that is what gets you excited.

Growing up in the black community that is. In the black community, it's rough dude.. I went to an all black school, and was treated like crap. You have to fight hard to get make it. It's tougher in the black community than in the rest of america for blacks.
If any of you ever get a chance, take a ride to the rough side of town (mostly black and hispanic) and go to the local park where there is a basketball court. You may see 40 blacks standing around the court some with 40 ounce bottles of whatever, and then 10 on the court. These guys are constantly dogging eachother, showboating, talking trash, the guys on the sidelines watching are completely trashing the guys on the court not doing anything. Fights, guys with criminal records hackling you, gangsers and everything...

This is brutal... And sometimes dangerous.. But if you come out of that life, and survive all of that, you are one strong dude. The competition is so fierce, you have to have the best talent and toughest skin to even compete.

So me going from an all black school playing football, and then moving to an all white small town a year later, it was easy for me because the people were so nice and not mean, and just let you play.. So I was a stud football player in this town.. won all types of awards and all district everything in football.

So I learned both sides of the fence... And it's completely different. It's not better on one side or the other, it's just different... So the next time someone wants to criticize a bro from the hood who dances around and have fun, remember where he came from and don't try to change him if he's not hurting anyone.. Just enjoy it!!

Then we agree on something, because that is foolish too. But a simple dance or celebration is not foolish, in which you stated in your earlier post. And about the gets me excited part, winning the Superbowl gets me excited.

To be honest I dont care what he does as long as he embraces it like he promised us. He can do what ever he wants. Some people dont like show boating from players but me on the other hand I embrace it because it really makes the game more fun to watch. He can do what he pleases.

I also said if it is not cost the team yardage because of some stupid act then fine. Not all player even blacks though act like idiots when the score. Some actually act like they have done it a few times in their life. You can sit here and give your excuses why some act immature all you want but it does not change the fact that a lot of this is for self promotion and has nothing to do with team and last time I checked Football is a team sport, that guy who score sure as hell did not do it by himself it took others to make it happen.

I agree with you doomsday but dont you think it makes the game alot more fun to watch. I dont care about them promoting themselves because regardless if its during the game or after they will do it and we can just watch. It also isnt up to us to critisize them for doing this because we arent the one paying him to catch the football. I also dont see how they may act immature about it. I think its a good thing to see them having fun out there because I want them to have fun not be all too serious. I am always excited about the upcoming seasons regardless if we have a showboat on our team or not. If he catches his first touchdown and celebrates his way thats not being selfish because if bledsoe runs for a touchdown and he celebrates his way its no different. Remember the rule is they cant celebrate in the endzone as a team.

That's why you see linemen celebrate, quarterbacks pump their fists, defensive linemen celebrate after a great play... It's fun... Have you ever played sports at all? To me, when you make a pressure catch over a great defender and score in a crutial part of the game, the excitement that comes afterwards is unbelievable. I may get up and do giggle or something like that, so what?

Just because you don't like it, it's bad. What makes it bad? If you want to talk about the integrity of the game and oldfolks junk like that, then go ahead. But the last I checked, things change dude.. You can't keep living in the 40's and 50's.

The sport is changing. I don't agree with the celebrations that take too long to complete, or that include props like cell phones and stuff like that, EVEN THOUGH IT'S NOT HURTING ANYONE. I can guarantee you, Sportscenter/fans/the world will tune in the whenever TO makes a touchdown and guess why? To see what he's going to do.. So relax a bit dude, and just enjoy and have fun, and don't be such a celebration grinch.
