Well considering this thread was talking about Sean Payton and Bill I didn't think it had anything to do with what TO said with Irvin.

I dont know why you put my TO thread in something that is discussing Sean Payton and Bill Parcells.

I don't think the concern is about Parcels relationship with Payton. I think it is about the implied collusion between NFL teams to keep the salaries down. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Players Association jump all over this. You have to wonder why Bill spoke about this.

I'm a Saints fan and that's what I came away with after watching the Parcells interview. Herrin is trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill as far as a supposed Parcells dissing of Payton. In fact, I came away from that interview thinking Parcells was very complimentary to Payton and Gary Gibbs as well.

But I was very surprised of his admission that he would have rathered settle the Davis deal over the phone and save the Cowboys some money and the Saints some time. I'm sure this kind of stuff goes on behind the scenes all the time amongst this network of cronies, but I think he slipped up to talk of it in public.
