Wow.

Here goes the "comparing small trangression with bigger transgressions" minimization.

That's the standard trump card used to justify bad behavior.

I guess because TO didn't kill anyone we should make light of his actions.

What it really is that people try to compare crimes to things like bad sportsmanship and being a bad teammate.

They are not in the same class of things. Being a bad sport and classless does not belong in team sports. I dare say though that a guy could be like Michael Irvin and be a great teammate and do worse things , in a moral sense than TO ever did.

A lot of NFL players do things that don't agree with your morals and they are not illegal. Bt you really can't compare that sort of thing with things that make them bad teamates or poor sports. They are two different animals.

I do not condone spitting on someone but Hall is a overrated ****** with A LOT of mouth that doesn't produce against big time WR's. Give me Terence Newman any day of the week!

Spitting on another player is never right. I don't care who that player is. I don't care if that player has spat on someone else before and it is "karma."

If TO did this then he is a punk for doing it. Period.

I know T.O. is a ****** bag but there is some idiot on ESPN radio calling for Jerry Jones/Bill Parcells to suspend Owens for the last two games....lol! Dude, have you been paying attention to the standings? These aren't Campo's Cowboys and the season was over by now. Why have no other players been suspended for spitting but all of a sudden the media is calling for a fine and suspension? Of course it's because who's the guilty party.

Must be Mike & Mike in the morning. TO should be heavily fined, not suspended.

This article says he said he might have spit on him, while they where yelling at each other, on accident. That is alot different than what was said he said on here.

http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/sports/16262908.htm

if this is true ...... I take back what I said about Owens

Come on, right after the incident he admitted doing it. There was no talk about accident, he said Hall was aggravating him.

He is just doing a bit of backtracking no that he realizes how big of a deal this is.

This is the first actual quote I have seen ...... the rest was just what the Anti cowboy crowd was saying ....

If he said he did it on purpose then he is a Cowardly punk ....
If it happened while they were screaming at each other then ..... who cares.

So, you did not see the interview after the game?

The only thing he did not say after the game was "Yes, I did spit on him"

Otherwise he admitted it by not denying it at all and saying that he had already apologized for it.

Nope ..... dont have NFL network ..... that is why I was asking

The way he acted, you could tell that he really did not understand the severity of how it would be viewed.

In a court of law I don't know if beyond TO's NFL Network statement there is any proof to support a case, all hearsay.

What type of spitting was it? Intentional or incidental? Was it provoked? Did Hall retaliate? All of these questions have not been asked by the media or addressed.

Hall's accusation and TO's confession is all that is necessary to support a case. A defendant's own words are never hearsay because he has an opportunity to refute them and be cross-examined on them. Whether it was intentional or not is a relevant question, but keep in mind that in the NFL Network interview, TO gave a reason for doing it. That certainly indicates that it was intentional.

TO is amazing. Both as a football player and an idiot. During the game I was thinking that he might have finally started understanding that touchdowns are scored by teams, not individuals. Other than some chest bumping and high fives, he didn't do anything much as far as celebration goes on his touchdowns. Then after the game I learned that he had shown his lack of class in a worse way than some outlandish touchdown dance.

I have never voiced an opinion one way or another about TO as a Cowboy, preferring to take a wait and see attitude. Up until now, I felt like a lot of it was just the media trying to make mountains out of molehills. But, now I'm ready to say that I don't like the guy, and I think he is a disgrace to the Cowboys tradition and regardless of how good a football player he is, I'm ready for him to be gone.

Cause Sean Taylor doesnt have a history??

The guy has gun charges and faced 3 year prison time.

And dont get me started on Romanowski.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

I wasn't saying he should be suspended, I was stating reasons why he might be.

If you don't like the answers, maybe you shouldn't have asked the question...
