First of all I'm a big Cowboy fan and I take pride in that. Second, I'm kind of ashamed of how some of our fans have suddenly forgot. You know if I have to hear the word chemistry anymore I'm going to choke myself. I guess the new flavor is the word chemistry and teams are using this instead of having a talented receiver who might talk some **** once and a while. I'm a missing something here. I have heard of all the excuses from T.O. stunting Romo's growth to T.O. being blamed for the damn economy and about everything else in between.
Have we forgotten that this is professional football that these guys are playing? Football players are a different breed and we are expecting them to all of a sudden turn it down a couple of notches. How many times do we disagree with a co-worker and disagree with our bosses in private because some don't have the balls to stand up? **** people ***** all the time about something going on with their job. This is not run right, that isn't ran right, this person is getting all the hype or that person is getting all the hype. If I was the boss I would do it this way or that way. That person over there doesn't know what they are doing or this person over here doesn't know what they are doing. Are you all catching my drift here? So how many of the co-workers whether they agree or not are really affected or care to the point to where they stop being productive with their own job. Not too many huh, because they have to make a living. Well people why do you think that it is any different in the professional sports world?
Hell Dallas was winning championships in the 90's with guys who acted up worst than T.O. They were very "talented" with big egos who talked a lot of trash and demanded the spotlight but you know what, they won. They didn't just win, they kicked ***. Was Aikman's growth stunted because of these guys? Hell no, and you know Troy didn't approve of the three-man circus that was going on as long as they played. Troy mad sure that he was prepared and he expected the same out of his guys.
The other factor is that Jimmy Johnson knew how to deal with guys with big egos. He said he had a set of rules for his regular players and a different set of rules for his stars. Jimmy commanded the locker room, he had the respect of his players at all times. They loved to play for Jimmy because to be honest Jimmy had a big ego and loved to talk just as much **** as his players. He was crazy, but he always had his guys back and they had his whether they liked him or not or whether he had to punish them or not.
Those were the good ol days and that is where we need to get back to. Jerry, if you read these blogs, get Jimmy back out of the booth, swallow your pride and get T.O. back, and tell Romo to start doing his homework and grow some balls. Get that cockiness back that made everybody hate Dallas and start kicking some *** again.

Know what all those had in common? ONLY GOAL= WINNING

khiladi;2677677 said:Exactly... One can say the same thing for Crayton. He was non-existent even as the number 3 receiver and Tony Romo and him already have an established relationship on the field. There is no learning curve with him. You can repeat this night and day, but people will come up with as excuses for them. Hell, Garrett wasn't even getting the ball to Roy when he was at full speed. It was about him not 'knowing the offense', the very offense he was running in Detroit.
Excuse after excuse is made for Garrett. When Roy was signed, everybody on this board was saying this offense had just become unstoppable. Week and week passes, with Garrett's pathetic play-calling becoming more and more evident to even the average joe, yet again.. Excuses were made... Roy doesn't know how to run routes, he has bad hands, yet we saw him make some nice one-handed catches and a grab for a TD. Oh, Kosier has been hurt. Nobody was saying the loss of Kosier was going to stop this offense when Roy was signed. Holland was sitting there waiting his turn, ready to play and he didn't play until very late. Reports had it that Wade himself had to go to Houck and ask if he was ready to play. Hell, it took Jason Garrett how long to put in McQuinistan by the end of the year, because Proctor was sucking it up. Jason Garrett is as slow as a sloth when it comes to real-time adjustments.
Oh, let us also ignore the fact that Garrett's offense is predicated on an "I" receiver, with that receiver being TO. It is the very nature of Garrett's offense to have a number one receiver who is the primary target. It isn't TOs fault that Garrett doesn't know how to call plays for the "I" receiver..
Undisputed;2677702 said:Kinda sad isn't it? All our players thrown under the bus for the sake of an offensive coordinator who got consistently schooled by the opposition. I love it. All of the players we thought were great last year now mysteriously suck. Amazing how they all revealed their true colors to us at the exact same time...

FuzzyLumpkins;2678036 said:When was TO injured? Oh wait he wasn't.
Witten had broken ribs, missed a game and played through what would keep most people bed ridden.
Whats Owens excuse?
Rack Bauer;2678042 said:He's freakin' old.
So Wade is closer to Jimmy than Garrett is to the guy he learned from? That's rich.khiladi;2677658 said:You see the trend here... And Jason Garrett is not even close to Norv Turner.. In fact, he's farther from Norv than any of these guys are from their respective peers.
Of course it is. But it's probably your contention that Garrett's play-calling is the cause for the economic crisis too. Agendas are funny like that.khiladi;2677747 said:It is... Garrett is the second coming of Bruce Coslett, not Norv Turner. In fact, one of my contentions is that it was Garrett's crappy play-calling that got Romo hurt in the first place. Even our inept offensive line play was on Garrett. His play-calling is akin to Martz, where QBs get killed on a consistent basis, because the vision of the QB is simply fifty yards down field.
