...at doing nothing. Got washed out on every play.
when Lawrence got here, he was much the same way. everyone wanted him gone cause he wasn't the sack monster someone of his "draft position" should be.

where would we be without him now?

the IGS is really a pain at times.

lets cut someone for real, cb Carroll. Lewis is already playing better, and I think awuzie is better. We can sign back McFadden to take his place and maybe some team will pick him up and save us a couple million

No real value in cutting Carroll, he is a veteran so his contract is guaranteed.

Have no problem with the pick or the player, as many have stated - he will only get better as time goes. Having other players i.e. Collins and Lawrence dominate (at least, step forward) it will allow Taco to learn as he plays and grow into a pass-rusher. We will see results over the next 2 years. I have NO issues with him or his learning curve what-so-ever !
Its interesting the difference a week can make, but we all can see the potential in the secondary players and imagine the growth those guys will have over the course of this season and next - Lewis, Awusie, Woods. We even saw the versatility of Jones last night - not a bad thing at all.
Even the growth of Green and Collins on the offensive line as they gell and find themselves over the course of this season. Will they all have ups and downs - sure. But overall the arrow for our players is pointing straight up, and I think that applies to Charlton as well.

Must of missed the nice spin move he put on the left tackle and if the guard didn't clean him up he would've had a sack fumble but hey the simple see simple. Also hard to only get a couple plays here and there. Coaches need to stop the Crawford experiment at de cause it's not working

Yup and the guard was helping inside when he got in Palmers lap from an inside swim earlier. And people saying he was getting washed out don't know what they are looking at.

D-Law took a while to develop. Plus, he was either injured or on suspension. Charlton will either learn from Lawrence & Collins, or he will be gone. He has to have a complete off-season in an NFL weight room, dietician, etc. Hopefully he begins to produce the last half of the season. If not, we'll see how he comes along by next TC.

He was actually double-teamed multiple times. I am not sure why they double teamed him and not Lawrence, but I think he is holding is own out there.

Yea, I think BA decided to let his RT keep getting embarrassed in hopes it will motivate him more in their upcoming division games.

Only thing that kinda makes sense, because even after it was blatantly obvious to everyone in the building he couldn't handle DLaw, BA refused to give his RT any help.

Weird coaching there

Veldaheer is a vet and has played at a high level was playing RT. Whereas I believe Wentzle who is basically a scrub was playing on the left.

Its makes sense to help Wentzle, but it doesnt make sense to me not to adjust when it became clear Veldaheer couldn't slow DLaw

Taco wasn't bad and didn't get washed out every play like some here suggest.

People would look much different if Taco wasn't drafted in the first, same thing with Jaylon in the 2nd. Folks are making up blatant lies to justify their hate of the pick so let's look at it this way.

Switch Dak Prescott in the bottom of the 4th with Jaylon at the top of the 2nd.....wow much better value right.

Now switch Taco at the bottom of the first with Lewis at the bottom of the 3rd....hmm much better value right, let's go a step forward and swap the Taco in the 3rd with Woods in the 6th. Wow now we are talking.

To make a long story short most of these haters dislike players due to their draft position. While most teams don't hit on rounds 4-7 you need that 1st and 2nd to be instant impact players......but when you hit on every pick now that's a different song. Don't get caught up in draft position, once the player is drafted it no longer matters.

I thought Taco flashed a couple of times last night. I remember one occasion when he was just a step away from a sack. I'd rather see him get more snaps that Mayowa at this point.

A year ago people were starting threads here pontificating as the amateur GM's they are that it was time to cut DLaw and move on after giving him 3 seasons.

EDIT: Oh did I say a year ago? Someone pointed out we were still seeing these threads about cutting Lawrence as recently as 3 weeks ago.

It's a good thing no one here runs a football team.

Some fans have no concept of player development.

Now, it can be argued that you shouldn't take a first round flyer on a developmental player. But who else should they take? King the CB isn't all-world at GB. TJ Watt was a favorite of many (including me). Maybe they should've gone that direction. But they're looking big picture. It's obvious the brass thinks Taco has more long term potential than Watt

If Taco doesn't show improvement over the season, and shows nothing in camp next season....then yes, I think we can begin to label him a bust. But three games into his professional career?

Come on.

Exactly.

Some players take time to develop.

Taco didn't have a bad game. There were several times where he beat the OL. He had a sack at the end of the game if he wasn't tackled by the OG.

Lawrence is a great example of developing a player. He did nothing his first year until the playoff game vs Detroit. He was invisible last season. But now...wow!

his strength doesn't match his size yet. That will take time. But when he extends his arms he has freakish length. Fan need to separate him from that 1st round status. He was basically a 2nd rounder that Dallas took early.
