Probably have to take Hyatt at 26, if you want him, he is a rising prospect who yet to run. Once he shows that 4.3 speed, he will become a 1st rd prospect. I believe Hyatt/Addision would be considered as they are both 6 feet, but cannot see them drafting a 5'8-5'10 type which there are many in this year's class.
Both are really second round prospects. This is an average draft.

-The refs cannot decide a game. That 3rd down call was a touch foul at best. The commissioner was raving how the officiating is so good during the week, but it decided the football game for the championship of the league. Eagles down 3 with over a minute left still had a chance.

-Elite Offensive Lines were on display. Eagles led the league in sacks, Chiefs didn't give up a single one. Eagles did the same. Chiefs lost to TB to cause their OL couldn't hold up as did the Bengals this year. Cowboys need to finish their OL rebuilding job.

-Running the football still matters in this modern age of the game. Chiefs ran the ball over 150 yards, Eagles have one of the hardest run game to defend in this league. Hurts QB sneak in short yardage, probably the most indefensible play. Mobile QB's getting those key 3rd down picks are also huge.

-Elite TE's are such a mismatch for any defense. Yes, we know Kelce is special, but Godert was killing the Chiefs for most of the night, making tough catch after tough catch. Many want to resign Shultz, he probably has maxed out his talent, wants to be paid like Kelce and is no where near elite.

-Talent around Hurts is elite full of playmakers from their great OLine, elite TE and two #1 receivers. There is a big gap in offensive talent that we need to close this offseason, having Noah Brown as our #2 receiver is laughable, probably wouldn't even make the Eagles final 53.

-Hurts is going to be a problem for a long time. It's up to Dan Quinn to figure his kryptonite this offseason and ways to defend him moving forward. Eagles no doubt will be handing him a huge extension this offseason, where their talent might be less, but that offense is so unique to defend. They also have a top 10 pick in the draft.
That foul was unavoidable to call. A CB can't prevent a WR from changing direction which he did, then maintian the hold so you can see him tugging a jersey.
It was as blatant as holding ever gets.
Had he not held it would have been a walk in TD same as the other2-3 times the Chiefs ran the same type action to get walk in TDs.
Dallas needs ot file that play away.

I've seen a lot of bad takes but people crying about that call is up at the very top.
Even the Eagles coaching staff admitted that was a hold.

Hurts is really good but is also being overhyped now.
He is a menace in many ways but he had huge gaps on his running attempts and his OL kept him clean as a freshly washed sheet all day.

Almost any QB can win with the advantage on the lines the Eagles had.

The Eagles by going all-in put tons of pressure on the team and Hurts going forward.
Good luck paying all those All Pros and a QB who will make 50M per year.

You aren't drafting a R1 value at 26 unless you go for a position with weak value.
There are mayb 16-17 R1 values and if a coupel teams stretch to grab a QB you might see an R1 reach 20 but 26? Supremely unlikely.

The best WRs tend to be the ones who fit your scheme and need the best.

Fair enough about the call, just hate seeing those late penalties. Yes, the Eagles are going to have to start paying all these elite players, starting with Hurts, they aren't going to be able to keep everyone. However, they do have 2 1st rd picks which should help, especially one at 10.

For the Cowboys perpective, they have to close the gap talent wise and need to build how to beat the Eagles/49ers as they are looking like the best young teams moving forward in the conference.

The Cowboys need to build another 2016 O-Line they can waste on a bad QB.

Yeah, I see them more as #2 type of receivers. This class certainly lacks any elite, #1 receivers. I wonder if the team will consider these small types, since they added Hilton last year, cause there are a ton of them in this year's class.

Yes the Eagle's arrow is pointing up.
Young talent, plenty of draft picks and a top notch GM.
We are happy just being in the mix every year, staying relevant.

Hurts is good because he runs
In 2 years after more injuries he will be Dak 2.0
Eagles will lose talent this off season
Elite TE is ALWAYS key thus us why I have wanted to move in from Schulz

We aren't as far as many think. We did the same to that Eagle Defense late in the season and they are expected to get worse. Defensively, Quinn needs to spend time this offseason developing a plan how to counter that read-option offense the Eagles run. Chiefs had a good plan, but they still struggled.

- Bradberry admitted after the game he grabbed him and hoped the refs didn't see him pull the jersey. There is a still photo floating round that shows Bradberry clearly pulling the jersey. Yeah, it's close and yeah it sucks in that spot but he did grab and he admitted he did it and was hoping the refs didn't see it.

- Yep. Invest more in both lines Jerry. Stop the stupidity with your obsession with TBs (I fear we use our first round pick on a TB).

- Yes, the Chiefs ran for 150 but a chunk of that was on scrambles by Mahomes. Having a mobile QB is a must in today's league IMO unless you are Tom Brady in his prime.

- If this team wants to get more athletic at TE, Kincaid could be sitting there at #26 in the draft. He's a glorified WR playing TE (like Tyler Eifert back in the day and Kyle Pitts now).

- Yep. It's still mindnumbing that our two dipwad GMs thought we had more than enough at WR this season. Geezus.

- I am not ready to annoint Hurts just yet but he was great this year. It will be interesting to watch going forward as DCs see more and more of him. Further, he could be losing his OC who is a favorite for the Indy job I believe.
Hit the nail on the head here.

Is Jerry going to say “we like our guys” and dumpster dive in FA or are we actually going to try and keep up with the Eagles?

If we continue to do more of the same they’ll likely own us the next decade.

Agreed. Thats where I would look.
OG if elite, WR if perfect scheme fit, TE if a day 1 impact receiver who can replace Schultz.
RB iif elite and those above don't hit.

Some thoughts as i saw it:

- If you’re referring to the jersey hold on Ju-Jitsu Smith that gave Chiefs first & goal – even CB Bradbury admitted that he held but hoped he getaway with it.
Usually in a SB game of this magnitude, refs would allow more handsy to go on, but it’s not like Eagles had a Phantom WTH penalty…

- You’re right, Eagles were favored by their NFL leading sack unit,.. and Chiefs shut down Eagles RB despite a rap for best OL in NFL.
Great work by Chiefs OL and backs in pass protection- Mahomes received pressure but he played thru with quick tosses, and did not take sacks.
Usually a sore tendency with Reid, Chiefs stay committed to the run game. Especially with Mahomes being hindered by bad high ankle sprain .

- Via draft, trades and FA, Chiefs took action to make immediate upgrades to their OL after Bucs exposed their backup OTs in a previous SB match up.
Mahomes did not hold ball for sacks and Chiefs had a clever, very effective underneath game

- For all of their rushing numbers and reputation, basically Hurts was their run game. “ Pro bowler “ Miles Sanders was basically made a non-factor as Chiefs yield very little to Eagles RBs.

- Eagles did take advantage of Chiefs secondary, per AJ Brown, Devontae Smith and Dallas Goedert. They put up 35 points on Chiefs but clutch games like this, that Hurts fumble
for a Chiefs ended up being the ultimate game changer in giving up an easy defensive TD. And no defender stripped him – he flat lost grip of the ball.

- Mahomes displayed the underneath game – sumthin’ they did not resort to vs Cincy in AFC title game 2 years ago in a loss. Run game and underneath to Kelcie, Pacheo, Ju-Jitsu, Toney.

- the Chiefs are simply one of the more brilliant teams in terms of scheming designs, formations and misdirection plays … their pre-snap multi-motion, bunches, picks and rub routes simply spin
the confusing heads of opponents.
Twice blown coverage assignments by Eagles near goal line with wiiiiide open end zone targets per McKinnon and Toney with no defender even near.

- Is it Reid or Bienemy that constantly coming up with game in/game out brilliant designed plays ?

- Special teams was on display as well … FG kicker blew a key FG early in game- but made up for it with the game winning FG kick to seal the game. Wouldn’t it be monstrous if Buktner
would have missed that FG, and it goes to overtime, to which Chiefs RB could have previously scored easily, leaving time for Eagles to drive.

- Also kudo for WR Toney for a huge big key punt return run back to goal line. (longest punt return in SB history) - Off a shanked line drive Eagles punt.. !!

- Interesting early on Andy Reid trusted his kicker vs Mahomes which Butker missed ?
Also Eagles decided FG instead of going for it .. do they now regret it ?

- Hurts run skills and his receiving units places such pressure on a defense as they cannot peel their ears and pass rush out of position,
Chiefs shutdown their RBs, but still could not contend with 35 points and several downfield or deep bombs from Hurts.

- Kudos for Mahomes for continued play with a re-aggravated sprain ankle.
I thought he was done for seeing him in extreme pain on sidelines. And he was sensationally clutch in winning drive including a busted run on a very bad ankle.
Remained poised and in control and Made the big plays – not the big mistakes. .

Already tired of the crying over 1 call.

How about not giving up a back breaking punt return? How about now allowing WRs running wide open on goalline plays?
Agreed, the eggles D couldnt stop Mahomes and KC off in the 2nd half. , the penalty did get KC an automatic 1st down , but we dont know if , eggles could have had a FG in 1:00 min 30 secs. And the call was a bit harsh but the DB had the jersey then arm around WR .

Reid is on a different level scheme wise than the rest of the league, with the best QB to run it. MM comes from that same coaching tree, he isn’t known for creativity like Reid.

Really how Quinn spends the off-season devising a plan of attack how to slow down this Eagle offense. Chiefs did have a good plan, but still gave up 35 points, they are loaded across th board outside their running backs

My take:
KC outscored Philly 24 to 11 in the second half. Mahomes on one leg cemented his 2022 season MVP status with an equally impressive SB MVP performance.

Jalen Hurts ran and threw the ball well.

It was just that Andy Reid's second half gameplan was too much of a challenge for the Eagle defense and further enhanced his HOF coaching legacy.
Philly has two 1st round picks and an excellent GM but faces a lot of turnover as most all teams do every offseason.
They will still be in the NFC East mix for the playoffs imo regardless.
On the other side, KC is continuing to set a standard of excellence with consistent post season success and whose QB is just a notch above his peers right now.

Oh Dallas?
Prolly 8 to 11 wins. Wildcard win or loss and then exit home to watch again.

Coaching will have negligible results and possible regression on QB.
Will usher in a new coaching regime.

I would not be surprised if everything you said happened.

And Minshew destroyed our defense. There was nothing good about that defensive performance.
I think we hold our own against Philly, but we definitely need to get better. No standing pat this off season.
