Honestly, this MVP race was so influenced by recency bias this year.

Josh Allen was terrible against us, and he went up in odds after the bills beat us for no reason.

If the cowboys had won at Miami, I am convinced Dak would have been the front runner. But because the defense couldn’t hold and Luepke fumbled, he dropped drastically.

Dak was held to a perfect standard in the odds that other QBs were not held to. Doesn’t make Lamar undeserving, but the fact that he was like a -20000 favorite is crazy

It's probably going to go to Lamar Jackson but if Prescott doesn't get any votes then I don't know what to say about the objectivity it all. Statistically, Prescott was just better in 2023. These numbers are not really close. But Prescott, due to the negative narrative that has followed him, is just NOT a sexy pick for MVP.
Imo, Lamar has done more with less help and he has beaten the nfls best teams, something we have not..he definitely wins.

If I had a vote Id probably go Mccaffery but it tend to always go QB and Lamar is deserving. Funny thing is I think it would irritate some on this board if dak would get it and thats sad

Dak still had more total yards...4758 to 4499. His PAA, EPA and PASS numbers are all significantly better than Jackson. He also has the #1 DVOA defense.
Dak played one more game though. If you look at average per game they are within 1 yard of each other.

Without question, Dak is the better passer, but MVP is about more than that. Jackson still did very well passing the ball (4th in Passer Rating & 4th in QBR), but he was also his team's leading rusher. That will play well with voters, as will the fact they have the best record in the NFL.

Jackson was able to move the ball and destroy the 49ers in their place. Dak does not play well against the 49ers. Dak compiles his stats against bad teams so you can't use stats.
