Pretty confident Dallas is getting calls to move down.

Tunsil falls and the team will be getting ALOT of calls guaranteed.

Some talk that chargers feel they never had their OL healthy at the same team to get a feel for what they got

Nate: IDC who they draft just get a difference maker from day one

Nate: when u get exceptional talent it changes everything and overcomes even inuries to key players

Nate: If you intend to draft Ramsey and you dont know where youre going to play him yet then ur drafting the wrong guy.

The way Ramsey would need to be played to be a impact, its doubtful this team would do.

Dont want Ramsey playing SS vs the run

Nate: "I tell people all the time ..."

Who are these mysterious "people" that Nate is always trying to convince, and why does he forever feel compelled to engage in endless conversations with them?

I have no faith that we can develop even a talented CB. I'd rather overpay in FA for someone who's played well somewhere else than take another change on a CB than a 1st Round Secondary Player who middles for the next 5 years. Call it Claiborne's disease. I got dat.

You realize, what you are saying here is that you would rather we get ourselves, potentially, into another Carr situation, yes?

That's interesting and I do get that line of thought but I would point out that Tom Landry didn't draft this way. Tom Drafted Football players that offered something and he would then figure out the best position for them. Just as an FYI.

Jason Garrett is NO Tom Landry. But I agree with you and Tom. Get great players and fit your system around them.

You make good points.

I think people are fearful of guys who are clearly world-class in one position, but just very good at multiple. You just don't see a lot of it in the NFL.

If it all works out for Ramsey, he could be a Charles Woodson type -- great corner, incredible nickel CB/LB combo, good safety, etc. Those types are exceedingly rare.

Rod Woodson as well. We actually have a history of doing this. Renfro and Cornell Green are two more examples of doing this.

Its a good when your great at everything and most people that do this stuff don't seem to see him that way. They see him waaaaaay better at safety than cb. Maybe a little exaggeration on way but you get my point. This guy is like them old tv/VCR combo thingys that always broke(without injury hopefully). This guy is Jones that went to a better football school.

Draft nits seem pretty split on his position. I firmly believe he'll play CB in the NFL, but will provide whatever team he's on lots of personal flexibility to mix and match their secondary because he can play S. As a rookie, he needs to focus on CB and perfect his technique.

Just don't trade down too far. If they could get Elliott and pick up another 2nd round pick (or high 3rd), I'd be thrilled.

This this this.

Especially if teams are fighting to get up to 4 to draft Tunsil and/or Ramsey, there's a good chance Jerry gets to pull a heist and still get his RB.

I won't complain.

A lot of these guys look a lot more attractive to me if you end up stashing a few extra picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds - Ramsey, Elliott, Bosa, Jack...................

If you slid to 7, and got a 2nd and 3rd round pick and Elliott or Bosa was sitting there............ that's way more attractive to me than either at 4.

But I also like Rankins a lot and he could be there at 13 (Miami) or 15 (Titans). I have no problems falling that far back especially if say the Titans were handing me 2 second round picks.

"Nate: If you intend to draft Ramsey and you dont know where youre going to play him yet then ur drafting the wrong guy."

That is the main reason I don't want him. Dallas drafting secondary scares me.............

Yeah me too, Claiborne and Jenkins give me reason for pause.

Nate talks about the STAR posistion FSU made for Ramsey and thats how he should be played. And mentioned teams like AZ and Jets teams that would find a way to maximize his potential, but this team isnt that style of defense, they play a set system and doesnt think he will maxmize his skills in Dallas

And there is merit to that thought.

Actually, I have no faith we can select a CB in FA either. We should just outsource our CB evaluation to another NFL team.

The stupidity in this is amazing........

Top 4 pick..... Generational talent available

Yet, let's trade.....WHY?

Generational talent? Who? Elliott? Hahahahaha.

You trade the pick because the value in the 4th pick in this particular draft is in getting multiple picks in the first three rounds of a deep draft that's really lacking elite level players.

There's more value to this team being able to land multiple players in a deeper draft than taking a TB at 4.
