Maybe I can start one about zone blitzes.
Zone blitzes? Stop making stuff up.

I'm glad somebody called him on that before I had to.joseephuss;1654571 said:Zone blitzes? Stop making stuff up.

The mercenary, "win at all costs" 1990's have returned to Valley Ranch. Honor, class and integrity are now subservient to winning. Calvin Hill needn't stick around anymore. This isn't about "redemption" or giving a guy "a second chance." If that were true, he'd a been on the roster before Fergy got hurt. No, this is about naked opportunism. Enjoy the signing if you're inclined to, but spare me the warm and fuzzy spin.
All people are inconsistent. I've never met one person who isn't.Nav22;1654567 said:I can't stand inconsistency in people. So I am appalled. Did I LIKE the fact that people were whining from their high-chairs about the T.O. signing, from a morality standpoint? No. But if you ARE going to hold such principles, don't change your mind 18 months later when we bring in an even worse seed. From those morality pushing clowns, yes. Show the same outrage, or more, than you showed when we brought T.O. in. Otherwise, you're a flip-flopping hypocrite.
If you ripped up your Cowboys Fan Card, by now it should have been tossed into a wood chipper.

Today is just more of the same. Somehow, a star on the helmet magically erases seedy personal histories and rapsheets.

He broke Chicago gun laws and he was arrested and he has paid a substantial price for those offenses, And rightfully so those are the laws in Chicago.
However if he had played in Texas or Florida, Arizona and other states he would have never had any kind of criminal offense. His first arrest for a pistol in his SUV is not against the law in Texas, His second arrest for having "unregistered" guns in his house is against the law in very few American cities and it is probably Un-Constitutional to require citizens to register firearms. As a matter of fact some of Washington DCs gun laws were declared illegal just this year. Now he broke those Chicago laws and he served his sentence that is all a man can do under those circumstances.
I'm far less concerned with the gun arrests than I am the thug mentality, Hopefully he's learned his lesson.
As a model of consistency, I'm greatly offended by this. All people are inconsistent. I've never met one person who isn't.

I support this signing because it fills a need and I want to win. But we're no better than anyone else. That's the point. Indeed, that's the lament.

I get what you're saying... and it's not that I "crave outrage". I just dislike inconsistency. And I disagree that "all people are inconsistent".
