You pay PREMIUM money for sacks not runstopers and almost sackers and quarterback hurriers

Don’t get me wrong those things are good, but an elite DE is a sack master

It may be opening things up for Quinn having Lawrence playing at a high level.

Quinn hasn't been good in a long time.
6 sacks a year for god knows how long and now with an elite LDE opposite him he is almost at double digits.

Its a shame this year is so lost. Lawrence and Quinn have been outstanding

Try and find another guy that can rush from the 6,7,8, and 9 gaps on the left side. Thats what you are paying Lawrence top dollar for. Very few DE's have the skill to do what he can.

Lawerence is somewhere between 9th and 11th (depending on which source you use) in the NFL among all defensive players (DTs, DEs, LBs, etc.) for tackles for loss (sacks + TFLs).

There is no difference between a sack for a 5-yard loss or tackling a RB for a 5-yard loss.

Almost Anthony Spencer, who plays well against the run.

That being said, can’t hate him for his contract. It’s a business.

Taco Charlton has 5 sacks in 9 games played (1-DAL, 4-MIA), same as DLaw

Maybe Charlton just needed a change of location to get his crap together.

BUT, it speaks poorly of the coaching in Dallas if Miami can get that kind of production out of him and Dallas couldn't.

51 Demarcus Lawrence DAL DE 38 26 12 5.0

He’s got 5
I have no problem with how Lawrence is playing this year.

Obviously, he struggled early because he was still recovering from the surgery and trying to play through it.

The past few weeks, he's been dominant. He plays the run and pass as well as any lineman in the NFL.

His effort hasn't slipped a bit since he got paid. One of the few guys like that.

That's not going to cut it, considering his cap hit going forward.

Only 2 good years he had were contract years. TJ on the list is a gut check.

D-Law has been impactful beyond sacks; which can be an overrated stat. He has steadily improved coming off shoulder surgery and has made more than his share of plays in the running game. And he's still applying consistent pressure.

The attention Lawrence draws has helped Quinn get his stats. Not saying D-Law can't do more. Just saying let's not get caught up in stats. (Stats, by the way, seem to mean nothing when it comes to Dak but they mean everything for Tank. Hmm....).
On Quinn's sacks there is no way anyone was going to stop him anyway
