Which makes it even more of a travesty that we didn't pull the trigger at the trade-deadline for TC. We are like the anti-Patriots when it comes to getting value for our unwanted players. Wow.

Because, as we all know, the Patriots just can't do anything wrong.

The Boston Herald reports former Patriots CB Leigh Bodden was waived because "he did not embrace the slot cornerback" role the team envisioned for him.

His release was a "mutual decision." Bodden missed all of 2010 with injury, and ended up playing only five games after signing a four-year, $22 million extension in March 2010 that included $10 million in guaranteed money. The Patriots are going forward with Devin McCourty, Ras-I Dowling and Kyle Arrington at cornerback.

humm, I wonder how many #1 draft picks did uncle Bili got for Bodden ?
1,2, 3 ?

The D was not very good against the Jets. Romo made two mistakes against the Jets, they led to 3 points the other way. The defense shares much of the blame in the Jets loss.

Romo was the primary reason we lost the Lions game but again, the D was far from perfect. Since the offense takes the field again right after a pick 6, you can't really suggest a short field was the reason our D gave up 4th quarter points that did not follow turnovers. One came after a long scoring drive by our offense.

If you want to put it all on Romo go ahead, I'm tired of that argument. However, please don't act like the defense was perfect and don't act like they and/or special teams have not also put the offense in bad spots before. I've seen plenty of drives start inside our 10.
I hear you, I am also tired of the Romo argument. No matter how any of us feels he is who we have and the best shot we have so it is a done deal.
The defense is/was not perfect and yes they gave up winning drives at the end of each of those games. I surely hope they shore all that up and in my opinion games are won and lost as a team but in defense of the defense... they didn't throw those interceptions. I'm not blaming Romo, I'm just saying.

That's true and I agree the defense has been very good other then the Jets game. Against the Lions remember they did give up an 80 yard TD right after our long FG drive. That TD was also in the 4th quarter and had nothing to do with the offense.

I still obviously agree Romo was the primary culprit that game, but it was not all him. Had the D been able to stop them that drive or even hold them to a FG, it may have been enough to win the game. It certainly would have changed the dynamic of the rest of the 4th quarter.
That is true but even in their losses has anyone shut down Megatron? he is going to get his no matter how you play him and one big play didn'

I don't think that was the intend. I think first and foremost they saw Bennett as maybe even more athletic than Witten. A tightend who could be more like a WR.

However over time his receiving skills haven't developed as many would have liked, but his blocking skills have really ramped up.

I understand why he was drafted.

But people keep trying to justify his pick because he's a good run blocker.

I wouldn't call him a bust but he definitely hasn't been worth a 2nd rounder.

So in that game the Lions earned 13 point and our offense contibuted to 21 Lions points. Might I add that the Lions started moving the ball after Sensibaugh got hurt.

I don't think they did against the Jets or the Rams, other than that I agree. I'm hoping getting Romo and the receivers healthy along with hopefully at least a little improvement with our running game will help get the offense back on track.

I hope this is the week that we can hit on all cylinders on O and D against a good opponent.

Well obviously teams called Belichick with offers of multiple first round picks, but they just hung up and cut him and got nothing for him because they're a terrible front office.

Not surprised at all by the move you could see it coming. Some speculated Holley would be the odd man out but that would have left the team thin at WR a position where their 2 starters have missed time due to injury this season. With the emergence of Murray and the potential of Tanner Choice's days were numbered.

He started falling out of favor with the team last season after his opening day fumble helped cost the Cowboys the game. He hasn't produced with the few opportunities he's been given and has been turning the ball over. Lack of production and turnovers will get a player cut everytime.

FYI Dowling was just placed on IR. Start Big Ben and any Stiller WR's you have.

The D was great against the Jets they only gave up 17 points.

10 points came directly from a blocked punt and a INT, they did not even give up a 1st down after the Romo interception.

About time.

Now Murray has always been injury-prone... We better hope he doesn't get nicked and leave us with only Tanner.
NP... we're a passing team.. remember?? :D

I'm not mad. Never said I was.

I think Bennett is a CLOWN and will never reach his potential. I don't want anything out of him.. I want him gone.

The guy in your sig line is on the same path so far..

Just sayin.

The defense has outplayed the offense.. period.

If you can't admit this, then there is no sense even debating about it because our offense hasn't even played close to the level that our defense has.

I think Choice's release was more about Tanner than anything. Choice has not been playing well on offense and doesn't play on special teams. All he'd do is block the progress of Philip Tanner, who's shown that he can play.

Bingo. Choice isn't a terrible back. I could def see him going to another team and being a solid runner. Just wasn't going to be here. We have guys that are simply more skilled and Choice didn't show anything to set himself apart from just ordinary.

Right on. Jerry said he had inquiries in Choice before the deadline. Either he was fishing for inquiries, or if he really had some, he should have taken the 7th round pick in 2015.

he sucks BALLs. But.....he is better as a 3rd string RB than Buehler is as a hurt KICKER. Buehler is Jerrah's boy and it drives me CRAZY. Hope to hell Murray and/or Tanner don't get hurt Sun. night or we're screwed. The mismgmt. of this team continues....it's PAINFUL.:bang2:

.....I am 99% TC had no trade value: there were NO inquiries....just JErrah being cute and trying to create interest where there was NONE. Dude sucks, if he lands on a team: and I don't think he will, it'll be as a short term backup. the fact he's lasted this long in the league is stupifying. NO one but Dallas would've kept this numbskull around this long.:bang2:
