Tavon Austin... who does he compare to?

I haven't watched him and no nothing about the guy. Is he a Steve Smith type of guy (small but a little bit like a bowling ball) or is more of a Reggie Bush or Percy Harvin type of player? Darren Sproles?

No. I didn't get to watch that game. OU has frustrated the hell out of me the past few years so I haven't been as ardent of an OU fan as a Dallas Cowboys fan. I try not to ever miss a Cowboys game.

both will be gone before 18 and i think thats a good thing even though i like Austin.

Mike Wallace/Percy Harvin type.

Not as physically big as either guy but both quick and fast; purely explosive.

Like Devin Hester with actual ball skills.

The guy in this draft with the best pure fast-twitch athleticism.

Vaccaro has top 5 of this class fast-twitch athleticism and he had to give Austin a 10 yard cushion and use angles to corral him.

I don;t want Dallas to draft him because we have so many other needs but this guy will score a lot of NFL touchdowns.

Nope, I was thinking of Peter Warrick.

He was not much bigger than Tavon, coming out in his class he was considered undersized as well.

Fantastic open-field runner after the catch, was impossible to tackle 1-on-1 for DBs. I make the comparison because Tavon is the closest thing at WR to Warrick in the open field since... Warrick. He also moonlighted as a PR/KR like Tavon, and was considered the most exciting player in the country his last year in Tallahassee.

Most people don't remember how good Peter Warrick was at Florida State, but he was electrifying every time he touched the ball. Shame injuries caught up with him in the pros and he was stuck in the black hole known as Cincinnati.

Warrick ran a 4.58 40 at the combine....

Austin a 4.3x 40.

They are not all that similar athletically.

Warrick did beat up college football and especially his junior year was great but Austin was even better and never redshirted.

Warrick and Randy Moss together would have been ridiculous.
