You didn't see him destroy OU last year?

I don't watch college football and I saw it. It was one of the more dominating performances of the last couple years.

He is very similar to Harvin he is just a good bit smaller than Harvin and a tad faster which says a lot. He is the type of player who can take it all the way to the house at any time.

Bigger tougher version of desean jackson.
He's not bigger, but is most likely tougher. Desean is much taller.

Desean Jackson was the 49th pick overall, btw.

Jackson fell due to character issues. Not talent.

He also plays on the outside a good bit.

I'm not sure, but I think if Tavon were to go at 18, he wuld be the highest drafted slot receiver in NFL history.

I think he goes before 18.

I have heard two different scouts say that he is the most electric player they have ever seen on tape.

As a rule slot WRs do not go as high...however He is not the rule, he is the exception.

As Jerry would say...he is a WOW player.

I think he may go 13th.

I'm not saying he should go 13th, but the Jets have that extra 1st rounder and that would be a situation where you may swing for the fence.

As much as I love him...I hope that he does go that high.

That is another player dropping to us and that removes the temptation of taking him.:D

Being I'm a TCU guy and was very into the game last year against W. Va, watch these two plays. The guys is sick. Luckily TCU won. The first, wait for the replay to see the moves up close

I think he is a cross between Devin Hester and Percy Harvin. Guy who can give take small plays in the slot and make them bigger and a guy who can bust returns. Not as thick as Harvin

He is sick, no doubt.

I even think comparing him to Harvin and Hester is not totally out of line.

However:

Devin Hester is 5'11, 190
Percy Harvin is 5'11, 184
Tavon Austin is 5'8, 174

I will make this argument for Austin though; he is more sturdy, imo, than his size on paper shows.

I recall when Chris Johnson came out and so many questioned his durabilty. I thought he was much stronger than some thought for his size.
Well, 5 straight 1000+ yard seasons, ave 1377 yards per season, nearly 300 carries per year and still nearly 4.7 ypc.....and not one game missed due to injury.

I don't hate Vacarro but I don't want us drafting him at 18 either. I would love Austin but we need to fix the lines first. Give me Sheldon, Cooper, Fluker or Warmack and I will be happy.

Yeah I figured he was smaller but didn't know by that much from those two. Thanks for that! Knew, as I mentioned, that he didn't look as thick as Percy. But I agree completely with you. Seems like a guys who is sturdy and he doesn't take many direct hits. Now he'' take more hits in the pros but I still like what he can do from slot and in different formations and in the return game. Game changing plays.
