Taylor Decker reporting his eligibility to the refs

The rules guy said there were 3 fouls on the play by Detroit. Parsons pretty much gave it back the next play. We just got lucky on the do over. Oh well. Any Cowboy fan happy with the way the D performed on the last drive should be drug tested...
And the O. The 2nd and 14 was an affront to God and man.

Campbell just said 2 players cannot report, but that’s not correct. Brad Allen apparently doesn’t realize 68 reports because 58 is in front of 68, so 68 should’ve made sure the ref knew he was reporting as eligible.

On ESPN just now with John Parry.

We got a break. It's okay to accept it. I know it flies in the face of popular conspiracies here but a win is a win.
I know right. Dak played a good game AND we got help from the refs. I have no idea what I’m going to talk about all week.

I mean I guess I can talk about my toxic ex or my German shepherd or something.

Anyway I’m happy with the win and pretty pumped.

Go Cowboys!

Also illegal formation. No excuses for Detroit. They lined up illegally.

The guy on ESPN is saying you are allowed to have 2 report, as long as they are at different positions. 70 reported, and 68 assumed the ref acknowledged him but he clearly didn't. 68 had time on his hands, and should have made sure the ref knew he was reporting before the play started

Here is how I see this. 3 Lions linemen went over the to the refs. The refs claim #70 reported. If that's true then the #68 was ineligible.

Maybe the refs misunderstood about who reported. If #68 reported, then why did #70 go to the refs, and #58? I think the Lions were trying to mask what they were doing from the Cowboys and wound up confusing the refs.

I think the Cowboys got away with this one. It saves McCarthy from a lot of criticism over his play calling before the FG.

There were three linemen over there.. Were they all reporting?

That's what happens when histrionic Buck and a Cowboys adverse Aikman choice of team doesn't win.
Rules guys is going over it again with SVP. He is clear that two players reporting isn't the issue. He's covering the refs by saying it's all on the players to get ref's attention. Troy has shot that down by saying the players are trying not to draw extra attention to themselves.

Everything about the film says i would be mad as heck if it was us that the ref ignored.

If Detroit ultimately screwed up formation that's on them but no excuse for ref's not making sure they understand what Detroit is trying to tell them about who is eligible.

I'm reminded of the picked up PI against them in the playoffs which was also the CORRECT CALL based on the camera angle behind the play they only showed once on TV.

Too many fans spent the last 2 weeks claiming there was this vast conspiracy and we always get screwed by the refs. They're not going to be able to accept it. I'll wait until tomorrow when all the network rules experts have reviewed it, but I think we got away with one too. And it's only because Jerry decided to induct Jimmy in the ROH.

The curse is broken baby!!

I don't think there is much doubt they were trying to confuse the defense. Send three guys over, the defense won't know which one is eligible. Except they have to know and the ref has to let them know.

We did, but they screwed up that play in multiple ways.
