Honestly, this would have been DIFFICULT to recover from. Not sure if we recover from a loss in this fashion. McCarthy has to be better. Hendershot has to be smarter.

The refs blew it. It sucks for Detroit and we benefited from it, this is another reason why I laugh at people who complain about the refs in our games each week because teams get screwed week in and week out in this league it’s just the nature of the beast. Some days you get screwed some days you get breaks.

Even if he reported the refs didn’t announce that he reported which is an unfair advantage to the Lions. Defenders wouldn’t bother covering a LT if the refs don’t announce it. Second, even if they announced he reported he is ineligible because he was left uncovered on the end. It was going to be a penalty either way whether he reported or not.

If you watch the snap, the guy outside of him is clearly on the line. Only the outermost guy on the line is eligible.
