thats why I said miraculously…….arm strength in passing can only improve so much.

however what he now has is more real game experience and the coaches know how to get the most out of him.

Why? It isn't like he's going to see the field unless Prescott is hurt. We should all want Rush to improve as a backup QB, which is what he is.

Just speaking from Rush perspective, upper body strength conditioning should have been in his off-season conditioning regimen since year 1.

That is what is going to be at Dak's advantage this season. He says he won't throw 10-11 ints this coming season, however, if he throws 17-18...or more?

Dak is smart, he will blame the receivers for the other ones. Sometimes it just good to shut up and not brag.

Thats why I poke jabs and make fun of Dak worshipers, because any notion of improvement or comment as to our backup QB, any improvement related material always comes back as Dak bashing.

Oh, he wont do that, there will be other factors that he will use to fool some of Cowboy fans...it is what it is.

His quick feet are going to be his strength. Hard to catch a waterbug no matter how much bigger you are. The challenges for him on this level are going to be not having great top-end speed to outrace defenders once he dodges them and not having the size/power to knock them back when you can't escape. Still, if he can make that first guy miss and slice into the hole, he can be effective. Not every back has home-run speed. Emmitt's greatest assets were his vision to find the hole and ability to get to it. He knew how to dodge the hits, which is why his career lasted so long.Of course, Emmitt also had unusual strength for a player his size.

Dueses biggest challenge is just staying alive, and not getting crushed by a 300 lb DL or 270 lb missile at DE, LBs, safties, even most corners at this level compared to his size..
He just needs to improve his ducking skills, getting out of bounds, letting the sidelines be his friend, more than he ever did at K State.
His biggest challenge is staying healthy, he has every other skill in spades.

I just want him to be the best QB2 in the league, Rush could do that if he gained some strength.
He knows the system, the offense is under his belt already, he has always needed strength and conditioning work to play more than he is expected to.
