I still maintain the stance that our biggest needs are mostly on the defensive side of the ball... I would rank our needs heading into the 2016 season as follows...

DT - Hayden hasn't been terrible, he 's average, but an elite 1-Tech would do wonders for this defense
FS - I say go hard after ball-hawking Dallas native Tashaun Gipson, if not him then Weddle, but I want a proven commodity at this position once and for all
LB - Hope for the best with Lee and McClain, but given both of their past issues, we really need some more quality depth at LB
DE - keep Hardy, and hope for the best with Gregory and Lawrence, but don't be afraid to use your top pick on a DeWare type pass-rusher... The DL has shown a lot of potential, but they still haven't shown the type of consistency to make me believe that we're pretty set for the future along the DL
SS - Church is decent against the run, but he still leaves a lot to be desired

CB - keep Carr and/or Claiborne.. Jones is not physical enough to play FS, he's a CB of sorts... And with Scandrick coming back you're not looking so bad at CB in 2016...
RB - Draft a couple of RB's with differing styles in rounds 3-7...
QB - We need two QB's, one to be the backup (almost impossible to find a vet that is much better than Cassel), and one to be the "QB in grooming".... If you really love a QB with the top pick, then by all means take him, but you better be right, because no QB Dallas picks will play in 2016, and we might miss out on a player that would've propelled a Romo led Cowboys team to a championship in 2016 or 2017... QB is that pressing of a need, because like it or not, all of our eggs are in the Tony Romo basket at through the 2016 season... Backup QB is more important to the immediate future than is the heir apparent QB, and good luck finding a veteran QB available that will be much if any better than Cassel...
WR - Treat Bryce Butler as a 2016 draft pick that arrived early... Sign a mid-level veteran WR, some pretty good ones usually become available each year... It's not time to spend an early round pick on a WR that will probably need multiple seasons to reach his potential
OT - OL and DL never cease to be positions in need of churning

Moore's play last night made me think - risk taker / like Romo a few years back.
Cassel - inaccurate.

Cowboys could invest late round pick in QB next year.
#1 priority CB at this point for me.
#2 RB - but not past the thire round in the draft. Why do all our guys other the Dez and Witten avoid contact down field. Murry punished the opponents secondary last year.
#3 DT - stuff the run.

If you haven't done so already you need to add head coach to that list of needs.

So far Garrett's tenure is no better than Wade Phillips. The only difference I see between the two is that Jason is part of the extended Jones family, so we'll likely be treated to few more years of Jason's special brand of coaching.

The "Process".

Right kind go guy.

Clapping.

Sounds like the recipe for more 7/8 win seasons, at best.

Needs: Gaping holes: NT, SAM, FS Need depth: DE LB

So overall we have gaping holes at FS NT RB1 QB2 SAM. WR2 maybe
we need better depth at WR DE LB OL RB secondary

This team is nowhere close.

I actually don't think we're that much worse than most of the other NFL teams. As I'm sure you're aware, we're in an age of parity in the NFL. Virtually every team in the league has a few gaping holes on their roster.

Our problem is our coaches, particularly the head coach, lack the ability to coach around those holes.

I think the 90% of the Cowboys' problems are connected to coaching and preparation. When I watch the Cowboys I always get the impression that they are hell bent on forcing a square peg into a round hole. Very rarely do I see them coach to the player's strengths Very rarely do you see a creative pass play call from the offense that creates east space for limited players like TWill & Beasley to excel. Instead it's up to the player to get open based purely on his own physical ability.

For example, yesterday were treated to more of Dez not being moved around much. Unless I completely missed it, I only saw Dez move into the slot on a few plays.

The rest of the time we stubbornly left him outside on Revis, with a couple of bum QBs trying to get him the ball.

So while I do agree we are lacking talent in some spots, you're never going to have solid talent at every position in today's NFL. That's why it's important to have a coach in place who has an identity and a plan in place to mitigate roster shortfalls.

Give Belichick this 2015 Cowboys roster, injuries and all, and I'd be willing to bet that we're at least 7-7 at this point.

Santa says that list is too long.....sounds like one year removed from a 12-4 season, we are in rebuilding mode, again.
Fire JG now.

If we upgrade the first three on that list we can get away with the rest...
