Defenses are now going to try and game plan more to take away what makes Cooper Rush the most comfortable. Question is can Kellen Moore adjust to what they are doing to help out Rush or can Rush do just enough to throw off defenses who are going to try and put the game solely on his arm and QB talents.

This is where Moore has to earn his money. Self-scout tendencies, mix things up while still putting Rush in positions where he can have success.

Good let him concentrate on Cooper and Micah and forget about our D as whole , they will hand his *** on a platter. If we get run game going , we may not ask Cooper to do much , instead thrive on TOs and points from that. I believe Cooper can surprise with a couple of throws here and there

Make him throw over the middle.
They will take away the sideline throws because he cant put enough zip on those types of passes.
I would think they should flood the middle and make him throw it to the sidelines. That probably creates the most opportunities for INTs. Or stack the box and try to make us give up running. I'm not sure Rush can win if forced to throw 30-40 times.

Pull a LB out of a zone....make room for other recvrs

He completed 10 passes last week. Not a lot of new tape there.

Exactly the opposite of what they will do, if they aren't already doing it. Take away the middle and make him throw to the sidelines. Essentially what they did to Dak before we traded for Cooper -- Cooper is the reason the field opened up again after his two TD game on big plays.

I have no doubt Philly will be playing up at the line of scrimmage to contain the run game. Rush will have to step up and make the plays, WR will need to be sure handed and make big plays. Dallas will need to make some throws on 1st down unless you plan on just handing the playbook over to Philly. No doubt running is a big key but Dallas has to show enough in the passing game to keep Philly honest so that they are not crowing the line

The answers are No and No.... I doubt KM can scheme up something inventive as Rush's probably reached his level.
But there doesn't need to be a blame witch hunt, we go to battle with what we've got, if that army's inferior then we just take the loss.

EXACTLY. This is where the coaches count so much; adjusting and coping with how teams play them.
The Dak fan boys seem to forget that.
Cooper needs to continue to play a heady steady game. Not try and push himself too far. In the end this is on KM; time for him to prove Jethro was right in calling him a boy genius.

We have to play like a contender in all stages of the game.

I said this in another thread earlier in the week as to why his numbers the last two games are putrid. He can’t throw to the outside with any velocity and DC’s will start taking the intermediate and middle of the field away from him. We’ll see if there are any adjustments that can be made to compensate.

Actually I think they will cover the middle more tightly and a little loose in the outs has with his no velocity passes they can be react better to them. You force him to do things he is not good at!

IDK, we’ll see.

I guess they will hold him under 100 yards then?

Good for them....we still win.

Whatever they do it won't be the same every down.. While Rush isn't quite Kurt Warner he has shown that he has just enough arm and just enough smarts to break you down if you give him time and show him the same look over and over. He doesn't have a big arm so taking away the middle would seem like the way to go but that will leave their corners on an island a lot. Slay is good but he aint THAT good. The other guy (Bradberry?) is just okay.. and I don't think he matches up with Gallup all that well. I think what the Cowboys need to do is play Brown and Gallup on the outside and let Lamb work out of the slot. Philly's slot corner is no match for him and if they try to travel Slay with him being in the slot gives Lamb more room to work.

If one thing is taken away, it then opens up another thing.
they cant take away the middle and still stop the run game.
Also if kellen schemes things right there will still be guys in the middle or short to throw to.
this is all on kellen to be ready for what the eagles defense might do.

And bottom line is if eagles cant score it wont matter much.

Will be interesting to see just what does happen.

The Eagles are going to try to stop the run. It is not just about Rush, it is also about the Cowboys WRs. I am pretty sure the Eagles think they can cover the Cowboys WRs with their CBs one on one. We are going to see a lot of 8 and 9 man fronts. Gallup and CeeDee are going to have to beat the CBs for Rush to have a good day.

This might be a good game to unleash Hendershot in the passing game.
