I don't see Seahawks losing, not at home and not when a win means they'll sit for a week before resuming their run to the Super Bowl. Get ready to win this thing on the road. We can do it. We're road warriors already.

Really not out of the realm of possibility for Ari and Sea to both lose.

I'm definitely not counting my chickens. Really would not have expected the eagles to lose like they did, so who knows?

Agree. Arz with yet another QB playing this weekend I think are likely to lose to SF. Rams vs Seahawks less likely but maybe Fisher has a trick or 2 up his sleeves

Forget all the playoff scenarios...while the front office, coaches, and maybe the players know them, it doesn't matter like it does to fans trying to think a way to the best playoff pairings.

1. Players play to win the game.
2. Coaches coach to win the game.
3. To win, a team must believe they will win against any opponent, so why not go through a good team early instead of later.

Bottom line---Romo is healthy and will not be healthier for sitting, so he plays to keep the rhythm and momentum going, to go into playoffs hot with another win. The only reason to sit a starter is if he cannot perform close to 100% and the week's rest will make him 100% the next week, so someone may sit, but very few.

Resting starters is not good for the team if it results in losing. Even if the loss doesn't change the playoff position, it does change the team's mojo and the next man up mentality in case someone is injured during the playoffs. Winning is always important, and losing is never without consequence. You cannot play the game or coach the game in fear of injury.

Play to win and roll into the playoffs with the greatest swagger.

I agree, not a lot of easy roads to take when you are in the playoffs. Dallas has to go out and play Cowboys football if they do that they have a good shot vs any of these teams.

Any rest Romo can get is beneficial. He will definitely be healthier if he doesn't take any hits on Sunday, especially if it's a short week before the playoff game.

This.

There is virtually no reason to go all out and try to win this one. Maybe treat it like a preseason game and pull Romo and any other banged up guys early. The notion that risking our only shot at success (Romo being healthy) in exchange for a little bit of "momentum" (whatever that is here) is beyond silly.

I would actually like GB to get the #1 seed and Seattle to get the #6. That would likely mean Dallas hosts Detroit, goes to Arizona, and then possibly hosts Seattle in the NFCC. Probably best case scenario.

I'd sign up for this. I don't know exactly what has to happen for this happen but it would be great for us. I'm assuming Seattle loses, Ariz wins and GB wins.

Get ready for the Lions coming to Dallas in the opening round of the playoffs.

Daddy's home, Brandon. Get his pipe and slippers.

Martin vs Suh, think Martin on a good ankle has no problem with that.

You forgot about 2 other teams to root for, SD and Baltimore. I dont want them Texans to get in the playoffs.

Yeah I don't either. I don't hate the Texans like I do all of the NFCE foes but they have beaten no one of quality and I include Baltimore because I don't think they are that good.4 of their wins are against Jville, Tenn X 2, and Oakland with another game against Jville. So 5 of their wins could be against the worst teams in the NFL and they somehow make the playoffs. Yuck.

How would Dallas host Detroit if Seattle was 6?

So what if Seattle wins
Arizona loses
Detroit loses

Would that give Dallas the edge over Seattle based on head to head or would the three way tie come into play with gb, dall, and hawks all with 12-4 records taking out the head to head with Seattle?

My ideal scenario is:

Detroit wins
Arizona loses
Seattle loses

That way, the seeding is:

1. Detroit
2. Dallas
3. Seattle
4. Atlanta/Carolina
5. Arizona
6. Green Bay

We wouldn't have to play Green Bay or Seattle at home. And we'd get a bye. Give me that scenario.

Heck, to go even further, then let me have Green Bay beat Seattle in the Wild Card round. That way, we'd play either Atlanta, Carolina or Arizona in the 2nd round. That's almost like having two byes.

I root for the Cowboys; doesn't matter to me what else happens this week.
