Terence Newman is now officially my favorite Cowboy

Soooo.....still got nothin', huh?
I've got something. You just too drunk on the Newman Kool-aid to comprehend.

Don't run away from the question Mr. Heavy Weight.

Where in this thread did I knock Terence Newman's coverage skills?

Even a dummy would know the difference between knocking a guys coverage skills and expecting more plays from a 5th overall pick.

The facts: according to HeavyHitta31

Newman has given up the fewest catches and the fewest TDs of any starting CB over the last two years.
Good for Newman..........I don't seem to recall anyone disagree with this point........fluff

If a runner scores on a corner's side, it's because the linebackers and linemen didnt do their job to begin with. A Runner shouldnt have the opportunity to score on anyone's side in the correct pursuit angles and gap assingments are taken. That is an irrelavent arguement and dos not pertain to this discussion in any way.
It's irrelevant:lmao2: :lmao: . It makes you wonder why the Cowboys under Bill Parcells wanted Antoine Winfield as their 1st option for free agent CB before the price went up.

It is irrelevant to those who are content with having their highest draft pick in the past decade only being exceptional at one aspect of the game. That is the difference between Champ and Newman. Champ is great in runn support, very good in coverage and creates game changing plays.

This thread is about Newman's exceptional coverage skills.
Good for you. It's also a free world, where I can critise your favorite player short comings.

Champ Bailey, your idol and the supposed measuring stick for NFL corners, has given up nearly 5 times as many TDs over the last 2 years as Newman.
Ironically if both were on the market Champ Bailey would be the clear cut No.1 why is that I thought only responsibility of the CB is to stop TD passes:rolleyes:

This discussion is over, as there is no way to argue around those points without blatantly lying.
So are you calling me a liar?:)

After you answer the questioned posed earlier in this post, the liar will be revealed.

And I'm just curious bigbadroy, but what are you, 12? Your ability to interact with other's in a discussion leads me to believe this is the case.
:lmao2: man what are you 12? your talking about newman like he is your favorite super hero. newman is a good corner at best.

No, Newman is a great corner, and the numbers back it up.

champ bailey?

9 TDs in 31 games isnt "preventing TDs".

In fact, for his career Bailey give up something like 4.3 TDs per season. That just isnt very good.

:lmao2: yeah your right. champ bailey is garbage. newman is the best corner ever

Let's backtrack a little to see how we arrived at this point:

In an attempt to argue that Newman is not a great corner, you said, and I quote:

great corners prevent tds AND get picks.

To which I responded with:

Then there isnt a single great corner in this league

To which you and your hard headed nature responded with:

champ bailey?

Then I pulled the trump card on your entire basis, saying:

9 TDs in 31 games isnt "preventing TDs".

In fact, for his career Bailey give up something like 4.3 TDs per season. That just isnt very good.

Realizing the folly of your arguement and how baseless your thesis is, you revert to laughing emoticons and baseless, broad statements with no substance whatsoever.

yeah your right. champ bailey is garbage. newman is the best corner ever

As anyone with half a brain can see, you are backpedaling

4.3 tds per season is bad? wow your standards are high

That's a TD given up by a single player every 4 games.

Now, considering there are 7 players in a base 4-3 defense who could potentially give up TDs (4 DBs, 3 LBs), and the average defense gives up about 20 passing TDs per season, one single player giving up 4-5 of those TDs a year isnt very impressive.

say hitta you gettin' nervous about that big game tonight yet????????????????? ya'll gonna take care of business or what???

heavyHitta, where are you getting the stats on TD's given up from Bailey....?

Dude your backpedaling faster than a straight guy in a gay prison cell you got owned be a man about it and move in

Kinda OT but, its kinda funny that on TNew's my-space, his headline is "Actions Speak Louder Than Words."

Subliminal at the D?!
