The problem is, the key stats for cornerbacks (such as catches, yards and touchdowns allowed) are a well-kept secret. Most people (including players) only know about interceptions, and they're just about the only highlights shown on ESPN for cornerbacks, too.
Personally, I wouldn't want a cornerback to allow 400 more yards and four more touchdown catches just so he could get three more interceptions. But doing that would give him a better chance of making the Pro Bowl, apparently, because interceptions are a glamor stat.
