Ill take a bad performance now and learning from it and manhandling guys later down the road. Guy is returning from an injury, it will take time
This is closer to the win/loss picture of last Sunday:

It’s safe to say the Cowboys had their fair share of bad luck in Week 9.

Beyond Prescott stepping out of bounds on a would-be 2-point conversion, Luke Schoonmaker getting tackled inches shy of the end zone before he even caught the ball, or the officials taking away a touchdown because they seemingly ignored Chuma Edoga getting checked in as an eligible receiver, the ball just didn’t bounce Dallas’ way on Sunday.

....not sure, though some on here have mentioned, he's had few reps at RT.
Seems he played some RT in college bust predominantly on left side.

I like Richards, liked him in the draft process and am pleasantly surprised he's played well in Preseason and few snaps this year. Like most, I thought he'd be better at guard, in a phone booth but needs to build strength.

If he's getting RT snaps in practice and we are up big and playing backups, sure let him get reps, just don't think I want him playing against starting DE on a side he's not wholly comfortable with.

Here's the motivation for real change in this group of Cowboys:

I don’t want to overstate the importance of the Cowboys’ loss in Week 9, but it’s rather significant when looking at seeding. Dallas now only has a 7.4% chance of getting the No1 seed and has a 55% of the 5th seed. Not ideal for a team only averaging 21.8 points on the road.

To be fair, I’d give him a couple more years after the injury to judge him…..
Another injured player we signed for poor play and poor value at the beginning of his contract, hoping to recoup the lost value on the back end.

The thing is, if the player is outplaying his contract on the back end, he'll be grousing for a pay raise. You just can't recoup poor value up front on the back end these days.

What about Chuma? He did a decent job filling in for Tyrone when he was out.

thats nice terrence but youve been our worst starting lineman most of the year. You were just pathetic against Philly
Hopefully, by the end of the year, he'll round back into form. He was a very solid lineman before this year. Not great, but quite good, especially as a run blocker. It should be no surprise that he's struggling some coming back from a major injury.

Some of you guys are brutal, dude is less than a year out from an ACL & MCL. He is no way 100% and won’t be until next year.

Is there evidence that Edoga checked in as eligible?

I’m looking forward to seeing him 100% again. I bet that will be next year unfortunately. Hopefully he can get better this year with what he has now. I’m also curious how much the offensive line coach is changing things up that is effecting everyone on the line. I’m disappointed in Steele but not ready to give up on him.

He's graded out 73rd of 77 Tackles. I don't exactly find it impossible to find someone to replace that kind of production. I get he's still recovering from injury. Not saying cut the guy, but he can recover on the bench.

The only team opponent that took a win strongly was the Cardinals. That wouldn't repeat.

This season's path isn't to the halfway mark yet...and there is less actual support for the Cowboys than was active during the off seasons.

Hey, some have actually won their own chosen misery party. The Cowboys are still tied for NFC 3rd place and explain away that fact. That should even improve over the next 3 weeks.
CC, my friend. We all have bouts of enthusiasm here but we all know that this team remains INCONSISTENT.

We cheer them on weekly but like Charlie Brown, we’ve had the football taken away before kicking it So many many times

Some of the frustration you see here is the FO standing pat before the trade deadline.

If we had acquired a STARTER, ( not Martavius off da couch) like Davante Adams or Derrick Henry, you would see enthusiasm like you’ve never seen here.

Just one hung man’s opinion, though

I worked with soldiers and there was just no concept that included failure at any point. My last job was a Correctional Officer and there was absolutely no room for anyone to 'sneak' upon on you and take advantage. There was no lose or any avoidance or someone just took a contract out on you. No lose to it.

I see the Cowboys through my set of eyes, my friend, but we were taught to train and rehearse to standard no matter what. This team has functional talent and the leadership to accomplish their missions. They have to operate within budget, as do the Cowboys. The ammo still has to be purchased within budget. That goes for the M1A1 Tanks, Bradleys, and Apaches. One had to manage and win...no second places.

As a fan, I would have loved Derrick Henry and maintained the signings coming into the view shortly.

That wasn't to be...the top shelf was drafted within franchise.

Jerry likes to operate with a roster that has to overcome a little need and fighting it out no matter what.

This team is actually pretty good...we'll see if the drive in their collective guts matches the demands, momentums, and who comes up next.

Go Cowboys! :starspin:

Steele is getting paid just too much. He has to get his act together here and now.

That and the running has to show up a lot stronger, this game. Dowdle better be ready to carry the rock this very game!

Coaches should determine if the injury is causing his bad play this year, they are not doing him any favors putting him put there against a good pass rush, he is hurting the offense right now.

Let him get healthy and put Edoga, Richards or even move Martin outh there.

Sometimes Cowboys coaches seem to care more for keeping appearances than the down right real stuff.
