Williams has been a solid player. His numbers in a lot of cases are a reflection of the fact that he's the #3 option in the passing game behind Dez Bryant and Jason Witten.

One area where he needs to improve is beating physical press coverage. His game against the Cardinals was brutal (Brandon Weeden not withstanding).

His catch radius hurts him. Tough to 'be open' when you have to put a ball right on the money.

I know one play doesn't make the rule but uh:

For a minute there with the thread title I thought that Williams was kidnapped or got out of dodge.

Great play, but it isn't a full season, which is what I want to see out of this kid.

Dez Bryant - 88 receptions
Jason Witten - 64 receptions
Demarco Murray - 57 receptions
Terrance Williams - 37 receptions
Cole Beasley - 37 receptions

What exactly are people having trouble with here? We spread the ball. If more balls went to Williams, then we'd be questioning Beasley's role on this team or if it took away receptions from Witten, people would be starting threads that Witten is falling off.

It's about what Williams did with the receptions. Look at his production, and I'll go ahead and say he's done enough. And the fact that he was one of the major factors in our playoff win also says a ton. Wish our #1 WR showed up a little more.

He also had a 57% catch percentage, one of the lowest on the team...

Trying to find a link to the 57%, can't find it. Can you post the link?

Either way, we are also talking about a second year WR. He's producing like one on a team that spreads the ball a lot. He does his job well. He's no more inconsistent than what Dez was in his first two years and we pretty much forced him the ball.

He was tremendous in the playoffs.

There's only one football, and this team runs a lot.

Escobar and Williams don't get many opportunities, but they make the most of what they get.

Escobar may have the talent, but he was a wasted pick considering how little he plays. There was many more players that could have contributed much more at other positions.

All Twill did last year was score big clutch touchdowns. He may of had a stretch of inconsistent play(what young player doesn't) but he scored some clutch TDS. He scored three in the post season. What more do people want from him?

seriously i dont get the criticism of this dude. i think he fits very well in our offense.

He had a pretty big catch in the Seattle game, too. Wasn't a TD, but we don't win that game if he doesn't make that catch...and it wasn't an easy catch, either. Clutch catch at a clutch time in a clutch game.

Looking closer at his targets, he was targeted the most in the 49ers, New Orleans, Washington, Arizona,Houston and Washington games.

His worst games came in the games against the 49ers and Arizona. Romo wasn't himself in the 49ers game and we had Weeden in the Cardinals game - he caught 2 out of 7 targets in the Cardinals game. Against Houston, he caught 2 out of 6 targets which was probably his worst game of the season if you want to go by these stats. In the others, he was 6 of 7, 6 of 7, and 3 of 5.

That Cardinals game really hurt his percentage.
