He also had a 57% catch percentage, one of the lowest on the team...

That's probably a function of him running longer routes than most of the other main receivers. Witten, Beasley, Murray are running shorter, higher percentage routes. The only other main receiver running routes comparable to Williams is Dez. There's no shame in finishing second to Dez.

It also didn't help that a lot of his targets came in the game against the Cardinals. The only bad game that he had that I see is the game against the Texans, but even then, it would be nice to see the throws. You can't completely blame Williams without seeing the plays. I guess the same could be said for Weeden, maybe Weeden threw accurate passes to Williams (I'm doubting this, I remember the game, Weeden looked awful), but maybe I'm remembering incorrectly.

Your memory was correct...Weeden was awful in that game.

I wouldn't doubt that Romo has routes he likes to throw and routes that he avoids. Maybe TWill's position has him running those routes and the only time he gets the ball is coming off of the scramble drill (which Romo did less and less last year).

I think Beasley should be his primary target or security blanket now. He gets open every single time.

I didn't see anything wrong with Twill, he had some clutch body catches last season. And that one amazing catch against the seahawks.

Williams had 8 TDs in the regular season last year on only 37 catches. He's exactly what we need out of our WR2. Dez gets a ton of balls his way, Witten is the safety valve, we run the ball a lot, and Beasley is the quick slant guy.

Williams had 3 TDs in our 2 playoff games.

This year I worry about CB play, I worry about whether the pass rush will be as improved as I hope, I worry about safety play, and I worry about Romo staying healthy.

I don't worry about Terrance Williams, not at all.

Not to mention that we were primarily a running team last year which limited his opportunities even more. Williams gives you exactly what you want for this offense...a guy that can give you a lot of TD's for the limited number of throws that will come his way.

I couldn't agree more, there are a lot of other things to be concerned about over Williams.

All Twill did last year was score big clutch touchdowns. He may of had a stretch of inconsistent play(what young player doesn't) but he scored some clutch TDS. He scored three in the post season. What more do people want from him?

He was never THEIR GUY. Makes it easier to hate on him. Pretty ridiculous.

I'm going to try to be nice.

But if you think T-Will is a problem as the #2, that tells me a lot about your football IQ.

Two seasons in a row Terrance Williams has started the season strong, but fades badly in the second half of the season. I wonder what is going on with this kid. I'm in the camp that wouldn't be opposed to upgrading the WR2 position, but I do like this kid. I wish he would become a more reliably consistent catcher who uses his hands rather than his body.

We're going to need to lean on him more this year, so I hope he is there for us.

Thank you.

Some on here think I'm crazy for even saying we should possibly upgrade.

Let's face the cold hard truth here. We have **** for WR behind Dez asof right now. Cole Beasley is the only decent option, but he's a number 3/slot quick route runner. We do not have a legit number 2. A guy who can take advantage when Dez is being doubled. LR was the guy, he wasn't the best athlete, and nobody wanted him. Why can't we just bring in a guy who can actually catch, and get open from time 2 time?

Why does everything have to be big plays, or broken plays? Why can't he just be chains mover who beats his 1 on 1 coverage every so often, with the big plays as a bonus?

I don't want to hear the fact that we run a a lot. We ran a lot and Beasley was our chains mover with Dez being doubled. We shouldn't have to go 3 wide every time because Williams is a liability at #2 and can't break free of his man, or make clean catches "CONSISTENTLY".

You're right he's ghost for a few games where he posts either a bagel or 1-3 catches for 20 yards.

Bottom line, as of right now, as a #2 he sucks. He does not deserve to be a #2. He would be a great #4. Maybe even #3 if we had a legit 2.

Don't take this as a "I want another Dez type" No, I'll be happy with another LR type.

So how many times during the packers game did Romo sit back looking for a bum to get open? Danced around, ate Cheetos, nobody got open. Dez was doubled or tripled, where was Williams or the rest of the crew? Our #2 my ***. That's a big issue. We need a guy to step up when team want to load the box, and play you 1 on 1, and just double Dez. Basically disrespecting Williams like he's a piece of ****, leaving 1 corner on him.

He's just playing a role, like a gangster in a movie.

He was tremendous in the playoffs.

There's only one football, and this team runs a lot.

Escobar and Williams don't get many opportunities, but they make the most of what they get.

Then Why is he starting? Just to breathe air on the field?

That's the excuse? Dez was doubled and tripled? Have evidence of this?

A top 3 WR in this league should be able to beat double coverage, that Packers secondary isn't that scary. Williams simply played at a higher level than Dez in the playoffs. Dez gave us a long run after catch in the Detroit game and a bobbled ball in the Packers game. Williams gave us 3 TDs.

Bad examples, as always. That was 2011, Dez wasn't Dez then, we all know this. LR was a better WR that year than Dez.

Are you serious? He was better?

Sure Dez wasn't the Dez today, but no LR was not.

LR is/was nothing special. He atleast knew how to get open, and work with Romo.

Look at LR before coming here, and after he left. Williams and Romo just can't click.

Dez was still raw as hell in 2011. He was widely criticized for disappearing in the second half of most games, ran lazy/bad routes, and even had stamina issues. LR was on the same page with Romo when he improvised, and scored 11 TDs in a 10 game span. Dez didn't have a single game with over 100 yards that year, LR had 3.

Laurent Robinson was a better player that year, simple as that. Bryant wasn't ready for #1 spot yet and was still growing. He didn't look like a monster until the second half of the 2012 season.
