He was really good with Romo. He disappeared when Dak showed up. So did Dez.
Hah. You see that video of him on the scooter? That guy clearly was not playing with a full deck.

As much as it’s obvious to almost anybody that is unbiased that Terrance would prefer Romo over Rayne Dakota, we can also find a receiver that would say exactly the opposite so it’s just an opinion.

what I do find shocking though is that Terrance is man enough to go against the wishes of the community and actually say it out loud……they don’t like anybody getting off the scripted message that’s expected.

Completely. Different. Leagues.

Guys like Roger, Montana, Tarkenton, Fouts, Marino, and others would absolutely torch this league with these soft rules.
Agree 100%. Warren Moon and Danny White could possibly be in the running for top 5 in todays NFL

Hell, even Jim McMahon might crack the top 15 and that’s not hyperbole

As much as I agree with you it's very very close we're talking about a tie basically but the tiebreaker goes to Romo however please do not bring the offensive line in here and act like Prescott had a great offensive line his whole entire career last year we have a bottom 10 in pass rush win rate he was having his jersey grabbed his hand broke he was having to take off early throw the ball under pressure guys weren't open this happens to Prescott as well we have no run game and no offensive line going into the last three playoff games it was a shell of itself from the middle of the regular seasons where they were ranked better. So don't bring in the sacks or all that stuff the pass rush win rate was not good for this line and then the line loses Terrance steel and was being shuffled at other positions it definitely is feeling very similar to those Romo days sure 2016 maybe 2017 was a little bit better but once we lost are great center and shuffling that left guard position Tyrone Smith not staying healthy I mean you trying to sit here and tell me that Prescott's playing with a great line? And by the way just as an example Romo did have three or four years of good lines like back in 2007 to 2009 that was a pretty good offensive line at times yes he had years with bad lines just like Prescott is right now so if you're using that and the whole Romo friendly offense well Prescott needs a Prescott friendly offense right now in the playoffs because we don't have that.. IMHO it's been the offensive line, the lack of a run game, the lack of a creator from the play caller perspective , the last three playoff games have been lost in that fashion..

So Prescott felt a lot of what Romo had to feel with the offensive line the lack of a run game the play color becoming pass happy I mean the fact is from 2021 to 2022 they got rid of Blake jarwin Collins Connor Williams Cedric Wilson Turner and of course amari Cooper it came into 2022 with Noah brown as the number two wide receiver and gallop not even a shell of himself and the offensive line being shuffled around and as well as I just mentioned the pass rush win rate was not good against the better defensive lines they were getting their butts kicked. Select please use that same empathy for Prescott as we are for Romo when it comes to that kind of thing.
Well like I said, I don't have too much to complain about with Dak, but I will disagree when it comes to talent and the oline. Dak has overall better of both talent and oline. Last year, yeah he played with more of what Romo did his entire career.
Was just stating my opinion that I believe Romo carried this team more on his back than Dak ever has but the majority of both qbs problems have been system, coaching, and playcalling.

Oh, really? You should do some homework before commenting and spreading false information.

For the record, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had the 10th best Defense in 2022 by giving up an average of 324.3 yards/game, whereas the 49ers were in 1st with giving up an average of 300.6 ...

Screenshot-20230715-074123-Chrome.jpg

The Cowboys D was in 12th place, giving up an average of 330.2 yards/game.

In other words, Dak faced a top 10 Defense against the Buccaneers at their place in the playoffs, while Brady faced a 12th ranked D in Dallas. The challenge was harder for Dak than it was for Brady. Buccaneers had a top 10 defense. So much for the false rhetoric.
'America's Cowboy' -- on the other hand, Dallas had the far superior offense over Tampa Bay going into the playoffs.
Cowboys averaged 27.5 points per game for 4th place during the 2022 regular season (behind only Chiefs, Bills, Eagles).
Buccaneers averaged 18.4 points per game = 25th place.

I agree. None were "stars"
They were so-so or jag players that had better success playing with Romo (and in Crayton's case, also prime Rivers)
I mean to an extent you are right. Romo got more out of them the other teams but even that is skewed.

Miles had hammy issues that ultimately ended his career.

Robinson had concussions that ended his career.

Sam was a never was.

Crayton proved to be a decent slot guy so I will give him that.

The Cowboys did NOT start the superior QB in the second half of the 2016 season. They went with the "we're on a win season so don't screw it up" philosophy. Also it would be fair to argue that back in 2016, nobody knew what Dak's long-term potential was going to be. And as long as the Cowboys were winning, it was fair to roll with Dak and see what he could do.

Of course later on it was clearly evident that Dak can't hold a handle to Romo's throwing talent. But Romo of course retired, so it is a moot point.
The locker room wanted Dak. Garrett and Witten as well. That said it all there.

The fact that anyone will jump all over anything that even slightly agrees with their narrative is not surprising. Once someone convinces themselves something is true it takes very little thought to find anything to prove their side of the argument.

This is an extreme example but I am sure deep down Jerry Rice probably preferred Joe Montana over Steve Young. But this isn't an indictment against Young's abilities.

But in the case of Dak, once the smallest thing that could be taken as a slight against him is found the haters are all over it. Romo was a better pure passer than Dak. Anyone with eyes and a hint of football knowledge knows this. But this doesn't mean Dak sucks, which is what I'm sure these ten pages are already all about.

Played fine with Romo, Dak not so much but that goes for all WRs

Best season with Romo was still under 800 yards. He dropped off with Dak for 2 years at slightly less than 600. Then he was out of the league after 6 years and being only 28, I believe. You can't blame no one else picking him up on Dak. He was never that good to begin with.

I've "logged out" because like some of my critics say...I am truly sick of this asinine bickering back and forth. It actually did start to effect me so I've chosen to disengage and just watch from the bench.

But I logged back in because I think I have found a kindred soul. "WE"...don't give a dam about truth and fact we just find items, people, forum members that validate our opinions. Then by GOD go to war with others who disagree with us.

Someone will use playoff wins to show how great Dak was against the awful 22 Bucs, then criticize one of Romo's better games. Someone will prop up Romo's great 4 qtr stats then criticize some of Daks good stats.

It's become absolute BUG fig insanity.

However....one thing you HAVE to agree is Romo passing technique was indeed superior to Daks. It's not knock on Dak. He doesn't suck. He passes just fine. Most of the time. When he doesn;t it's ugly. Okay...no big deal. It doesn;t even matter why get pissed about it?

But anyway...thank you for speaking so eloquently...thank you for being real and fair. My compliments.

How do you know the locker room wanted Dak? I've never heard that before, so prove it. Were you in the locker room? Is there an article about that? If not, stop throwing out crap that you cannot prove.
Yeah, that is nonsense.

Know who else thought Romo was the better QB? The Joneses.

They would not even allow him to compete for his old job back. Speaks volumes as to who they thought would win that competition.
It;s very odd to me....the executives used vegas superstition to run the most valuable sports franchise in the world.

"Well we're on a win streak we don't want to upset that".

What? You don't want the better more experienced vet that you BUILT this team for...and is now healthier than he's been in years (thanks to dak!)....you just want to ride your lucky streak?

Tony or Dak? Who cares? Two of my favorite Cowboys ever.

Absolute warriors who were also among the 10 best QBs in football.
I Second that !!!!! When I watched the video all I saw was a guy who loved his Qb as much as I did. Now that Daks under center, he my guy, just as Tony was my guy.

I admit freely that I didn't like the FACT that Tony lost his job due to injury, but that's just one of the decisions I didn't agree with. I truly believe had Tony finished 2016, We'd already have 6 Lombardi's.

OK dont kill the messenger...

This should be fun...

I don't feel tha TW is a good barometer to gauge Deek's a billed or shortcomings.
Never listen to an ex player who doesn't know to get out of bounds and when it's not needed, goes out of bounds on his tricycle.
