Terrance Williams preferred Romo over Dak

I still believe the good QBs, or veteran QBs can call their own plays. It's better that they don't, because they take enough heat now as it is. Dak is the one out there playing, you can't tell me he couldn't call his own plays.

I could be wrong, but didn't Dak change up that one play against the Eagles back in 2018? That TD pass to Cooper. He's been here for 7 years now. He's going to know if crap is coming in from the sidelines.

To be fair he played with Tony when he was a seasoned vet, he played with Dak in his first 2 years...

So it stands to reason that Romo was ahead in the mental part of the game.
Yes, there was quite a difference between Romo near the end of his career and Romo when he first became a starter. He was a good QB when he took over the team, but going back and watching those days compared to 2014, it's easy to see the difference.

Romo of 2014 might have been enough in 2007 to help the team overcome the Giants. It wasn't his fault that they lost, but he could have been the reason they won.

Funny I remember from week 1 of that 2014 season - I said Romo looks different - you could see it in his body language and the way he commanded that offense...something clicked.

Now do you think the Romo of 2014 throws that many 10 yard curls that Moore called all last year?

There is no way - he would have changed half those calls.

Its has to click for Dak now...

Saw a stat (and a video) from last year about those short routes around the NFL.
Moore called less of those than 80% of the league, believe it or not.

All team route trees--especially with 3-4 WRs--usually have one guy run a curl or hitch.
The other players are going longer to varying degrees.
Up to the QB to decide where to go with the ball.

Maybe some who see this post think it opens the door to bash Dak.

Not me... It makes me smile to see how good of a quarterback Tony Romo was for the Dallas Cowboys. The refs who stole the Dez catch owe him. That was his career chance to see the Super Bowl.

I'd love to see Romo back in the QB and WR room as a consultant. Jerry's made of money, so who cares how much Romo gets paid for that.
I'm taking it the same way.

Well, I'm of the opinion that it shouldn't be all on Dak, just like it shouldn't have been all on Romo. Just because Romo wasn't at his peak until 2014 doesn't mean he wouldn't have had a Super Bowl title on a team with a better defense.

I agree with T Will. I think Dak is better than Romo but Romo had the ability to check out or some crap and make a big play. It never worked in the playoffs but in the regular season? The king of it.
